Awesome experience

We stayed at the hotel methoni in the last ten days of July 2024.The location terrible.unlimited views of the clean sandy beach and the Venetian castle of Methoni.The cleanliness excellent.The breakfast quite satisfying.We would definitely go again.The staff kind and helpful. If there is something to note negative is the bathtub which is especially difficult for the elderly..

A beautiful location overlooking the bay

A traditional Greek hotel with reasonable facilities. The accommodation is clean but fairly basic. This is made up for by a beautiful location on the beach and adjacent to the historic castle. The WI-FI is not as good as it could be. Breakfast is served on the terrace.

Needs an update

The hotel's chief virtue is it's location, on the beach and immediately adjacent to the fort.
It is old and tired. Our shower was broken. The wifi only worked in the lobby. There is no A/C. The breeze was sufficient, but with no screens for 2 of the 3 windows, we were covered with mosquito bites after two nights there.
Our group of 20 were the only ones there. Breakfast was OK, and there are good restaurant choices for dinner a short walk away.

Sensational views

This hotel is quite small and based right on the beach. It has the most amazing views.
The rooms and balconies are a good size and the food is very good. However, I think there could be some work to upgrade the rooms and bathrooms. Better showers and the replacement of unattractive plastic soap and shampoo containers on the walls would be good. More care over placement of bedroom furniture would be helpful. It was difficult/impossible to shut the door to our bedroom from the hallway. With a bit more care, this hotel could be as good as its views. Whatever, we will be back.
