A Family Gem in Kalymnos
Spongia Hotel in Kalymnos was one of those rare stays where everything just clicked. From the moment we arrived, the owners and staff treated us like family, genuinely warm, attentive without hovering, always ready with a smile. The rooms and common areas were spotless, the kind of cleanliness that tells you the place is run with real pride. The amenities went beyond what we expected for a boutique property: thoughtful little touches everywhere, a well-kept pool area, breakfast that felt homemade rather than hotel-standard. And the location is unbeatable, close enough to explore the island's beaches, quiet enough to actually relax. Our kids adored the place too, the staff went out of their way to make them feel welcome, which made the whole holiday effortless for us as parents. Highly, wholeheartedly recommended.

The best in Myrties.
Beautiful hotel, cared for in every detail and furnished with great taste. Excellent cleanliness with towels and beach towels smelling of fresh laundry and not anonymous like in most hotels that you normally find. It is equipped with a corner with a refrigerator, coffee machine, and various cutlery that give you the possibility to have lunch or dinner, depending on your tastes, on a terrace with a table and chairs that enjoys an excellent view of the sea and the island of Telendos. Naturally, it also has a pool with actual beds and lounge chairs with an attached bar that also gives you the chance to enjoy, in complete tranquility, the various and superlative dishes from the chef, prepared and presented with delight. Personally, I thank everyone for the beautiful vacation spent with you, in particular Sevastos (the owner) for his total availability and hospitality, the great Giannis, whom I esteem very much for the enormous professionalism, kindness, and humanity that he always demonstrated throughout our stay, and the inexhaustible and omnipresent Maria, who delighted us every morning for breakfast.

It is hard to describe how satisfied we are with our stay at Spongia. We were upgraded from our sister hotel in Pothia. The service was excellent.
We had a suite. The room was very clean. Luxury sheets, towels, bathrobe and slippers.
The pool area is quiet and beautifully decorated. With a few steps you are down on the beach and can take a dip in the sea. We even tried a massage in the spa, which was relaxing.
Breakfast is outstanding, served at the table a la carte. Freshly squeezed orange juice, cappuccino and lots of other good stuff. Don’t miss visiting the restaurant for lunch or dinner too, so good and well prepared! And the pool bar…what drinks, so refreshing. Magically good to a sunset.

We recommend with your eyes closed!
We spent a great week at this property with our baby. Apart from being very well decorated, the rooms are very functional and the view from the balconies is beautiful.
The pool is very nice with many shaded places.
We dined several times in the hotel restaurant facing a beautiful sunset over Telendos. The chef offers varied and always very tasty dishes.

Quiet taste of paradise !
What can I say …. Totally amazing ! Lovely Hotel run by the most wonderful couple and staff. I honestly feel I am being looked after by family.
I forgot conditioner for my hair - they went out and purchased some for me !
I was bitten by mosquitos - the owner went home to collect some ointment that she uses on her children for me to use !
The Hotel itself is small and well run. Rooms with all you need and regularly cleaned and tidied to the highest of standard.
The breakfast is amazing which is tailored to your needs and freshly made as soon as you order.
Lunch/evening food available and really good and well presented.
The cocktails by the Pool are top notch !
The Pool was never crowded and there were always beds available. No one putting towels down here !!!! - if you did - they would remove unattended towels after 30mins and there is a polite notice explaining ! I love that !!!!
I think I have found a little taste of paradise here and I will be returning to the tranquility of Spongia hotel again !
This hotel owner knows how to look after her customers and that is evident by her smile which greets you daily and her attention to detail. Thank you x
