A Hidden Gem in Naxos
The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring Naxos. The pool area was beautiful, well maintained, and perfect for families with children. One of the best features of the hotel is its location—just a short walk to a gorgeous beach where lounge chairs are available along with food and drink service, making it easy to spend the entire day by the sea.
A special thank you to Mrs. Anna, the owner, whose hands-on approach, kindness, and genuine hospitality made our stay even more memorable. She truly cares about her guests and takes the time to ensure everyone feels at home.
If you’re staying here, don’t miss dining at the nearby restaurant, Three Brothers. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is authentic, and it’s the perfect complement to an already amazing vacation.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would highly recommend Aegean Palace to anyone visiting Naxos. We can’t wait to return!

If you get an advertised ‘updated room they call it’ you’ll be lucky.
Most rooms are from 1970s. Maids come in everyday to removed towels from bathroom and put new on the bed…. Why? It’s very irritating.
Mattress toppers are too small for the beds and sheets are cheap and rough.
TVs from another century and don’t accept usbs.
Breakfast is not as advertised. The berry photo etc is a paid extra. Breakfast itself is brand, slow service and a lot of hanging around for bowls as apparently lots have been broken so limited. No fried or pouched eggs.
View from room Carpark or wasteland unless your lucky but none of the pool rooms we saw were private.
Main Shared Pool has no shade so unusable. Sunbeds in 2nd bar area are on mud. If you want beach sunbeds it’s 50 euros a day although you can buy with drinks and food.
Reception staff are owners. All good unless you complain, then they are the loudest and most unpleasant staff you’ve ever come across. Intimidating. Staying at this old hotel ruined our experience of Naxos.
We are traveling 2 months and this was the most expensive & the worst.

Very disappointing, nothing like the photographs
Unfortunately, the photographs were very misleading compared with what we actually experienced.
We paid €1,800 for a week in a standard double sea-view room. The photographs show modern, attractive rooms, but ours was extremely old-fashioned, with two single beds and dated yellow bedspreads. A topper was placed over them to create a double, but the topper was far too small as they had run out of the correct size. We had an awful night’s sleep and felt the bed arrangement was simply not fit for purpose.
The advertised sea view was also very different from what we expected. Our view was over a noisy wasteland car park, nothing like the attractive views shown in the hotel’s photographs.
We were moved the following day to another dated room with an old-fashioned bathroom that needed total renovation but at least this room had a nicer view & wasn’t so noisy which was an improvement.
Breakfast was another major disappointment. It was easily the worst breakfast we have experienced during our month in Greece. Dried up egg dishes on a daily basis and never enough bowls out. Always had to ask. The photographs show fresh berries and attractive fruit, but these are only if you pay extra. Overall, it was a very unhealthy and disappointing breakfast, and the service was slow.
Around the pool, the sunbeds have virtually no shade, so many people understandably don’t use them during the hottest part of the day. In the smaller pool area the sunbeds are on mud.
The beach was also disappointing as sunbeds cost €50 in food and drink. Again, this wasn’t what we expected from the impression given by the hotel’s photographs.
The most unpleasant part of our stay, however, was our experience with management.
Reception staff had initially been pleasant. However, when I politely asked whether the hotel could consider a €70 reduction because we had been unable to sleep in the first room, despite having paid €1,800 for the week, the situation became extremely unpleasant.
The manager, Spyros, and his sister became angry, shouting and pointing their fingers at me. They then followed me out of the hotel while continuing to shout. I was also challenged about my phone and asked to show it because they were concerned I may have taken a photograph. Everything had already been paid for, and I found the whole confrontation extremely intimidating and completely unacceptable. A discount should have been offered.
There is unfortunately nothing “Palace” about our experience of this hotel.
After such a fantastic month travelling around Greece, Aegean Palace was by far our worst experience. We would not return and, based on our experience, we would not recommend it.

50 euros for the beach loungers from the hotel
Great pool area
Rich, varied breakfast, however with undrinkable coffee!! See below
Beautiful location on Plaka Beach
Beautiful sandy beach
.
Room for improvement:
The coffee at breakfast is a disaster. If you order at the bar, the cappuccino then costs 4.5 euros. That is annoying!
.
The sun loungers on the beach that belong to the hotel cost 50 euros for 2 loungers per day, so a minimum consumption of 50 euros!!!
I find that way too much!
The sun loungers by the pool, which are about 80 meters from the beach, are free, but if you want to go to the beach with children for maybe just 3 hours, that is definitely too much!
.
The rooms (we had 2 superior apartments) smell musty because they are on the ground floor. In the 1st apartment it was so strong that we moved...
.
The equipment as an apartment is virtually non-existent, 1 small pot, 1 small pan, 4 glasses, plates,... In addition, a musty smell greets you when you open the cabinets.
.
Last point: quite a few insects from spiders and cockroaches to beetles crawl around in the apartment. Mosquitoes were not an issue for us in August 2026.
Excellent location
