A heavenly week
Very well-kept boutique hotel in the Nikiana area, between Lefkada and Nidri, we stayed for a week and had a great time. The strong points are certainly the cleanliness of the hotel, both in the common areas and in the room, which was cleaned every day (towels every 2). Now let's talk about the food, we had half board, we tried practically all the dishes on the menu and there wasn't one that disappointed us, everything was delicious, generous portions and a varied menu, just watch out for the sparkling water which, like everywhere on the island, is charged separately, breakfast was also very good, with delicious homemade cakes and jams, a special thanks to the owner who, knowing about my wife's pregnancy, one evening peeled the tomato for us completely, a small gesture that meant a lot and that we appreciated very much. In conclusion, a hotel that I absolutely feel like recommending for a stay in Lefkada.
Two tips:
1. Right next to the hotel there is a delicious bakery that makes both sweet and savory items, the pastries are spectacular, they were our regular stop before going to the beach.
2. Near the hotel, about 300 meters towards Nidri, there is a small beach, with the possibility of umbrellas and sun loungers for €15, which has a spectacular sea and is very quiet.

THIS IS A SMALL GREAT HOTEL FOR COUPLES, WHO ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A RESORT-LIKE COMPLEX.
This small family-run hotel is a true gem. It is situated 10 min. walk - or 3 min. drive from Nikiana where you'll find supermarkets and cafes, etc. Nydri is 10 min. drive, and Lefkada town 12. The famous West-side beaches are between 25-40 min. drive. BUT near the hotel Dido the owner will tell you about a secret gorgeous beach with a bar, beds, and a wonderful vista. The rooms are large - we were (and liked it very much) at the back - overlooking from the porch the green mountains. It is very quiet. Breakfast is very good, very fresh, with excellent coffee, eggs, fruit, veggies, and... homemade marmalades and baked goodies. Dido and her partners are very helpful. The only drawback for some - no elevator, so on first and last day, up one or two flights with the bags. Tiny things to improve: 1. Since there is a coffee capsule machine, make sure the guests get 2 capsules every day, not just the first. It's a small gesture. 2. On the porch, place a ladder, or on the wall of the porch, some fixture to hang the bathing suits and towels.

Worst experience ever
The worst experience of my life. My partner and I stayed at this boutique for 7 nights, and it was the worst experience we have ever had.
First of all, the owners are very mean, irritable, and confrontational. The husband shouted at us in a very rude tone when we asked him to fix the air conditioning.
Secondly, and most importantly, the owners have installed an AC system in all the rooms that turns off after one hour, which is why my partner and I had to wake up countless times during the night to turn the air conditioning back on. During the first few days, we asked them to help us with this problem because we kept waking up in the middle of the night sweaty and suffocating from the heat, but they did nothing to resolve the situation. When we asked the owner to come to our room to fix the air conditioning, he came into our room and started shouting at us and blaming us for the fact that the air conditioning was not working properly. He accused us of doing something wrong and claimed that the problem was our fault, when in fact we were doing absolutely nothing wrong. On top of that, they were very rude to us.
In addition, the owners asked us to pay a €100 city tax specifically in cash.
Overall, the experience was unpleasant, and I truly cannot understand how this boutique claims to have 4 stars when it offers absolutely none of the things it claims to offer. A disappointing experience!

We must clarify that several statements in your review are inaccurate and do not reflect the actual circumstances of your stay.
First, the amount you mention as a €100 “city tax” is incorrect. The actual amount was €70 for 7 nights, and you were provided with a receipt. This is the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee, a government-imposed charge that we are required to collect and remit to the Greek State. It is not a fee set by our property.
Regarding the air conditioning, we categorically reject the claim that our system is programmed to switch off after one hour. No such setting exists. During the first two days of your stay, the air conditioning remained running even while you were away from the room, without any interruption. Had there been such a system-wide setting, we would reasonably expect similar complaints from other guests, which has not been the case.
You also did not contact us at the time you claim the air conditioning was stopping during the night, despite our request that you do so that we could inspect the issue while it was occurring. Therefore, it is not possible to establish that the problem was caused by the property, let alone by an intentional setting.
As for your comments about our behaviour, we do not accept your characterisation of our conduct. We also note that you were reminded of the property's rules after using a vaping device inside the breakfast room, where this is not permitted. This was simply the enforcement of a rule applicable to all guests.
We fully respect your right to express your opinion. However, subjective dissatisfaction should not be presented as fact when the facts and available documentation show otherwise.

A cheeky week away
A lovely drive from airport.
Superior room was large, fresh modern decor and well stocked with everything you could need.
Hosts were very welcoming, even bringing our wine with ice and glasses to the room so that we could sit on balcony and relax.
Breakfast was fresh and plenty choice served to your table which made it more inclusive. The dining room was immaculate and still felt private and easy going.
There was a pebble beach across the road which had a great vibe and served excellent food.
Our hosts arranged for a car and gave us great tips to avoid the tourist traps.
What a fabulous week we has, thank you
