TONYS THE LEGEND

My family stayed at this hotel like 4 years ago, we still talk about the legend himself, Tony. It’s not lux, but it’s cheap, and a great story, the place was very cozy, the owner’s family was very nice, and the location is great! Tony truly is a legend throughout the island, everyone in the area knows him, or at least of him, and his artwork is everywhere.

Good location but not great

First of all we emailed tony before our flight informing him we would arrive around 4am and asked if we could check in early he said yes okay... when we arrived no one was around, after finally waking them up (which we felt awful about) they charged us 20 euros for that "night" ..... then the next day asked us to pay our remaining balance (which we planned to put on our credit card) but they only took cash so this used up most of our spending money... their is no soap in the bathrooms and the shower is a disaster and do not expect wifi cause there isn't any. AC works okay.. They were friendly, close to a local 24 hour market with great cheap authentic snacks, pop and booze. Beach was super close and beautiful for swimming or tanning, if you purchase a round of drinks most places had very cozy beach chairs you gained access to and great wifi! The local bus is pretty much the only way to get around and it is a nightmare with VERY rude drivers. Overall I think Santorini is overrated and slightly regret spending the extra money to go their and would recommend a day tour instead.. stay in Naxos where it is MUCH cheaper for MUCH better accommodations and beaches.

Great place to stay

We stayed (group of 6 girls) for 2 nights. Tony and his family were lovely and welcoming. The room was large and air conditioning worked perfectly! Rooms were also very clean! The place is a short walk from a bus stop and also from the beach. Thank you for having us Tony

Tony's Place

Cute place, great location, very reasonable, wonderful family, location is not on Caldera, but I am beach person instead, Tony is an artist, so everything has ant art flare to it. We will be back again.

Cockroach Tenancy

We paid 60 euros per night for two people. Place is infested with cockroaches. Avoid Tony at the port he will always be there shouting and sweating! Avoid at all costs stay anywhere else. And ask locals what they think about this place. He will answer the door in his underwear and won't offer any help. Pool is dirty as well and the local strays will come every now and then to drink out of it.. For what we were charged this was absolute rip off.
