Terrible with unpleasant smell

There was mineral and limescale buildup on the sink faucet and shower head with greenish mineral staining and buildup around many of the nozzles. There was moisture damage, and mold or mildew in bathroom. The fixtures have not been descaled for a long time. There was discoloration and signs of prolonged moisture at corner of toilet. There were visible cracks and patching in walls. The towels were very very rough, worn, and flattened. They were heavily used and reused with frayed edges, loose threads and fuzz with an unpleasant smell. The room and bathroom also had a very unpleasant smell. It was the worse room I have ever stayed in. It was terrible!

Superb hotel and inexpensive!

Superb room, large deep pool to do some laps or crawls after days of hiking and sightseeing. The hotel is 100 meters from the beach where there are plenty of restaurants (where the food is very good and at a reasonable price) and bars, the same goes for the supermarkets that are not far away. Very clean hotel, very quiet. Walking tours (for those who are big walkers like me) to the nearby monastery and the chapel overlooking Perissa and Ancient Thera. If you don't have a car like me, everything can be done by bus with a passage every 20 minutes or a maximum of 30 minutes to go to Fira and then continue to Oia. If you want to relax, I recommend this southern area which is much nicer than the tourist-packed and much noisier regions of Fira or Oia. Everything was perfect during the 4 nights spent in this hotel.

Beautiful holiday in Santorini

I stayed at Villa Markezinis in September and had the perfect holiday in Santorini. The location was excellent, really close to the beach and bus routes but also far back enough for peace and tranquillity. The rooms were gorgeous, clean bright and spacious. George who runs the Hotel definitely adds to the experience as he goes over and beyond in providing a service and his knowledge of places to visit was excellent. I went to Athens and Mykonos during my stay in Greece and this hotel was the best plus the breakfasts were outstanding.

Hands down our best stay during our trip to Greece! 100% recommend this hotel to get away from the hustle and bustle of Santorini but be within walking distance to a BEAUTIFUL stretch of beach with restaurants and bars all along. The highlight of our stay would have to be George — so incredibly friendly and helpful during our whole stay. Prior to coming, we read the other reviews mentioning him and we were still blown away by his service and attitude. We stan George 4ever!!!
