Very bad

Finally, I’m back home and can share my terrible experience at this hotel.
This is a very old and run-down hotel. The rooms are dirty and badly need renovation. We booked a room for three people but were given a standard double room with an extra folding bed that can hardly be called a real bed. It was placed directly under the air conditioner, so you either sleep under the cold air or turn it off and suffer from the heat. If you open the balcony door, the room immediately fills with mosquitoes.
The rooms smell strongly of mold, and the bathroom has a terrible sewage smell.
The food is quite basic. There isn’t much variety, but you probably won’t go hungry.
To get to the beach, you have to cross a busy road. This is very dangerous because many drivers ignore the speed limits. The beach is covered with pebbles, and there are also very large rocks in the sea that can easily cause injuries.
The biggest disappointment was the reception staff. The women at the front desk were extremely rude and completely ruined my vacation. I came on holiday with my son and my boyfriend. In the room next to ours were my boyfriend’s mother and his children. They had an issue with paying the tourist tax, but for some reason the reception staff demanded that I pay it. They threatened to call the police and immigration authorities, and they even called my 11-year-old son. They never even tried to check who was actually related to whom or who was responsible for paying the tax. Their behavior was humiliating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. They seemed more like scammers than hospitable hotel employees.
They even didn’t apologised.
The only positive part of our stay was the restaurant and bar staff. They were kind, friendly, and genuinely did everything they could to help guests relax and enjoy their holiday. Thanks to them, I have at least a few good memories from this trip.
I will never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were very happy with the service from start to finish. Everything was well organised, the staff were friendly and attentive, and we truly felt looked after throughout our holiday.
A special thank you to Elena from the restaurant, who was absolutely amazing. I was following a special diet during our stay, and she went above and beyond to make sure I always had suitable meals and felt comfortable. Her attention to detail, kindness and willingness to help made such a big difference to my experience.
Thanks to Elena and the whole restaurant team, I didn’t have to worry about my diet and could simply relax and enjoy my holiday. It was wonderful to feel so well taken care of.
Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We would happily come back again! ❤️

Faulty towers

I always prefer to leave positive reviews, but I feel it's important to share our honest experience to help other families considering this hotel.
*Pros:*
- Stunning panoramic views over the Ionian Sea.
- Direct access to a private beach with a pier, beautiful clear water and an ice cream bar - a huge benefit.
- Most of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and clearly just working with what they had.
- The salads in the buffet were fresh and nice.
*Cons:*
- *Room issues:* During busy periods (especially evenings) there was only a trickle of cold water from the shower. The shower tray is tiny, the shower drain often had a bad odour, and one evening the bathroom drain blocked completely and ants came up through it and bit my child on the leg. The shower head was not hung properly and it took repeated requests to staff to get it fixed.
- *Air conditioning leak:* The AC unit leaked constantly, as shown in our photos, directly into the wardrobe and soaked all of our clothes. We had to keep putting towels on top of the wardrobe to try and contain it.
- *Hygiene & facilities:* Basic cleaning was very poor. The poolside bar area was filthy and there was only one toilet atea available downstairs for all guests.
- *Restaurant:* The restaurant staff were lovely and worked incredibly hard, but they are severely understaffed. They constantly ran out of cutlery (delph) and food, and it took a very long time to replenish. The menu choice was very limited. On one evening, the white fish on offer was completely raw - my husband's portion and all the other portions on the counter were raw. We had to tell staff multiple times to remove it to prevent others getting sick.
- *Pool hours:* The pool is only open from 10am to 6pm. In August, this is unhelpful as the early morning and late evening are the only times that are safe for children and vulnerable people to use the pool due to the extreme heat.
- *Complaint handling:* When we raised any issue at reception, they just asked for our room number, wrote it down and offered no apology. It took repeated complaints before any action was taken.
- *Other issues:* The spare bed for our child was extremely uncomfortable. On arrival, you are met with steep steps or very slippery ramps to drag your luggage up. The list goes on.
Overall, this hotel was not a 4* hotel as advertised. At most, this is a 2/3 star property. We would not stay here again and would advise families to look elsewhere.
