Good service, small room

The service here was lovely from everyone we met. We had an executive triple room which was ok but quite small. Breakfast was very nice, but the hot food was not kept hot apart from the one containing pastries, the burners were not on either of the others on both mornings. Great spot though for all that Thessaloniki has to offer and very reasonable.

Sewage smell

Sewage smell comes from the drains in the bathroom (cleaner told us it was a known problem). We reported the issue at the reception who sent the cleaner to bleach the drain but the smell continued making the stay unbearable. The room was not clean with dirty moldy pipes from the air conditioning. Peeling wallpaper and dirty walls made the experience worse. Glad we will stay only for one night.

Good location, staff, and stay

The hotel is easily accessible from the airport via public transportation. It is located in a busy area with many restaurants and shops. The tourist sites of Thessaloniki are easily accessible on foot or by public transportation. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The room had a balcony, and it was a nice way to spend an evening. The area around is safe, and you can walk around at night. A good stay all in all.

practical location

Hotel is located on the main street through Thessaloniki. At 3-high, you won't be bothered. Balcony is not really an advantage, after all you are on top of traffic. Parking is possible in an (expensive) parking garage or on the street (very difficult longer than 1/2 hour). The rooms are cramped but functional and adequate. There is air conditioning and a fridge, soaps and bathroom gowns. The breakfast buffet is adequate/good.
Tip: you can buy a bus ticket at the Yes! shop 200 meters away or at the ticket machine in the bus (not from the driver). One way €0.60pp, trips to the airport €2

Mixed feelings

I’ve stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years and always had a great experience which explains why I choose it again and again. Until,
on the 2nd day of my stay, early in the morning, a woman knocked and just entered my room while I was asleep. No permission. I was shocked. She did it again on the 3rd day, saying when she just opened the door again- she wanted to “ask a few questions” about my stay. She was from the reception (I think , she never clarified). This is completely inappropriate—such things should be handled by phone or during checkout, not by opening a guest’s door without permission, especially when they could be sleeping (which I was), showering, etc.
She even admitted she didn’t hear anyone inside but opened the door anyway -TWICE. That’s a major violation of privacy. I’m just thankful it was a woman and not a man—but honestly, that shouldn't even be a thought.
The housekeeping staff is always kind and polite. The front desk, could work on being more welcoming. And please train your staff not to open guest rooms uninvited. I’ve loved this hotel for years, but this incident left a bad impression.
