Good place to stay in Kalamitsi
WE decided to book something fairly late after a visit to mountains of Zagori and Meteora for trekking (both amazing). There wasnt much available but we booked a room at Ermioni and we were very satisfied. The location was good - short walk to the beach and right by the bus stop and the room was spacious and clean. We didnt really need anymore. The people on the front desk were friendly and helpful too. Good value for money for a spot in Kalamitsi. On the last day we visited both Porto Koufo and Torini. We really loved Porto Koufo and would stay there next time although really loved Kalamitsi too.

an excellent place to stay
The hotel has an excellent position and it's easy to find it :) rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is decent and greek coffee is delicious. The beach is beautiful with coarse sand and it's just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful, if you need something just ask them :)

Fair value
It is clean and decent hotel next to motorway. Rooms are spacious including bathroom bigger then standard in Greace.
To get to the beach you cross the road and go down to the beach, approx. 5 min of walk. Way back is a bit more difficult because you have steep street to get up to the motorway.
Even it is next to road, it is not that busy and you can have a good night sleep.
Hotel has its own parking space with covers.
Room has no TV which I found strange, never had that situation before.
Breakfast is good enough, fresh.
Staff speaks very basic English so don‚t expect advanced communication. But they are nice and helpful.
Internet connection is weak and mostly you can‚t use it in your rooms even though there is separate rooter for rooms, but with no much sucess.

Good value and clean
The hotel is situated on the main road directly on the left as you're coming south on the west side of the Sithonia as you enter Kalamitsi. It is less than 5min walk from the beach and the walk is pleasant and safe, not too much car traffic. Even though on the main road, the hotel is pretty quiet. It is equipped with air condition, balcony with table and 2-3 chairs. The linen is very clean, comfy beds and pillows, small and big towel provided per person, small fridge, vanity with mirror, wardrobe. The staff is friendly but only the son's owner speaks better English. Breakfast if included or not in your stay is between 8.30-10am and it consists of filtered coffee, tea, cheeses, bread, cold cuts, boiled eggs and I believe I also saw French toast. The cost of breakfast is 5 euros per person and its buffet style. Overall the hotel is very neat and clean and good value for the price.
On the downside, I did not appreciate that my credit card was charged for the full amount 10 days prior to my arrival although on my reservation it clearly states (I have it saved) that the credit card is only for reservation purposes and only a small amount may be authorized a few days prior to arrival. Nowhere did it state they reserve the right to charge the full amount. I was told that due to the busy season they have done that but that was not on the policy from my booking. According to my reservation I could have cancelled up to two days before arrival against 45 euros cancelation cost. Further, I had wanted to pay cash as I was sharing with a friend, instead now the full amount hanging on my credit card and my friend gave me cash which I spent.
