This hotel is just outside Trikala next to the bus station. Was very convenient for us as we needed to visit relatives in Trikala and Kalabaka. Nice hotel and good value for money with lovely decor in the foyers. Car parking available too which we used.

Disappointment from the quality of the hotel!!

Unfortunately our experience at this hotel was well below our expectations. From the very beginning, we noticed significant cleaning and maintenance problems.
The paddle was filthy and despite its change they brought us another, clearly worn and yellowed, which we also did not use. The bathroom had rust in the shower and hairs in the sink, while the curtains were filthy and did not offer the darkness they promised. In the morning light came in from the room, making it difficult to rest. Finally, the floors were inflated and showed poor maintenance.
The experience overall was very disappointing for the standards one expected in a hotel of this level. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it and I hope the management takes these problems seriously for future visitors.

A good starting point for visiting the Meteora monasteries.

Very quiet, despite the location directly on the main road and at a bus station. The room was clean and well-equipped. Breakfast was fine. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was fine, but there is still room for improvement. A good base for visiting the Meteora monasteries, if the drive of about 30 minutes does not bother you.

Adequate hotel with a few issues to address, but has free parking

We stayed here for two nights so we could make the 30 minute drive to the Meteora Monasteries in the morning. The location worked well for that purpose—close enough to Meteora, while offering a wider selection of restaurants and a charming old town in Trikala. The free parking was appreciated, though the hotel sits in a more remote part of town adjacent a bus terminal, so we had to drive into the centre both evenings for dinner.
Room & Comfort: The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and the décor in the common areas is attractive, though not especially functional. Our first floor room faced the main road, which meant noticeable traffic noise. The room also became very warm in the afternoons, requiring constant use of the air conditioning.
Bathroom: The bathroom was our main concern. It was small and cramped, with the door hitting the front of the toilet seat even when opened only halfway. The shower had a flimsy sliding glass door, and much of the caulking was blackened—never a reassuring sign.
Noise: Soundproofing was poor. Late in the evening, the guest in the next room began a phone call, and we could clearly hear much of the conversation. It made it difficult to fall asleep.
Breakfast: On a positive note, the included breakfast was excellent. There was a good selection of hot and cold items, including local dishes. Fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh honey, pastries, and a strong coffee selection were all highlights.

Bad need choice

The hotel is owned and housed in Trikala. This is not bad in itself, but it becomes bad when fraud is hidden, e.g. with the absence of signs that indicate that it is the cell... The area is deserted and degraded. From the window, because there is no balcony, we saw fields and stalls and stalls. Nothing else. Desert. And we go inside. It has been made an effort by the owners, i.e. by the friendly bus drivers of Trikala, to give the hotel quality and value through the barygous title Art Gallery. They tried to decorate it with "art" and design objects. Eventually what they created are kitsch catatonic spaces with endless corridors (the hotel has only one extended level) and an unbearable neolithic aesthetic for luxury kangaroos. Let's go to the room now. We closed a four bedroom (family) and put us in a three bedroom with a rancho that occupied all the free space of the room, to the extent that you could not move to get up your bed. We asked to remove the rancho and we slept three people in the double and one in the single bed. The room as we said has no balcony but only windows. It is small and quite worn out by use. The breakfast is poor and spicy. The staff is polite. We do not recommend the hotel for any reason.
