Great Hostel

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, very clean and nice place to stay. Great location and really near from the airport. I definitely recommend it and if I come back to Guatemala I would definitely stay again here.

Definitely other options would be better!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

The location is good, the house where this hostel operates is nice with a pool and some rooms that are worth it... but, they gave me one that was not worth it, expensive, neglected and in a horrible patio next to the battery:(
Then I moved to a capsule to experiment, but it smelled like mold. Not suitable for people with allergies. Smoking is also allowed... but if you don't close the doors, all the smell gets in and you sleep a whole night with those smells. WOW, no. I recommend it!!
Lack of personnel and the one who is there can't do everything!!
Then I stayed at the Central hostel Reforma in September, the experience was better since the capsules were newer and without that smell. At that time the staff there was trying to do their job well but overwhelmed, since they had to do everything!!!...
Now they are gone, I understand why...
I stayed again yesterday and the hosts who claim to be the owners, bad-tempered, arrogant!!
They have no choice but to take care of it themselves, because they were left without staff!!
They had the audacity to tell me to leave!!!
WHAT ABUSE!!
I made them see in a cordial manner that their place yesterday was "unhealthy", because there were sick people, without mask protection, because they are sick,
that's attentive
against everyone's health :(!!
How could NOTHING be learned in the Pandemic!!!
Furthermore, they didn't even take the reservation I made days ago into account, I arrived and they put me wherever they wanted!! They also told me that they work for foreign tourists!! So what happens to Guatemalan tourists!!?? To be mistreated in this place!!?? I have already reported my complaint to DIACO, Consumer Service. In case you have a problem, you already know where to report it...

A Safe Place to Sleep

I was only able to stay there for 1 night, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. They directed me to a good ATM, and one of the guys helped me get to the buses instead of having to pay for a shuttle. They do have a pool that looked nice, and I'm sure it's a fun place to stay, but the safety factor is huge. Very secure.

Good hostel in a very nice part of town

This is a fairly good backpacker's hostel in a surprisingly upscale part of Guatemala City (lots of fancy restaurants nearby; I'd recommend Casa de Saúl for great brunch which is not at all pricy by US standards).
Cleanliness was fine for me, about what I expect from an average hostel. The private room we stayed in the first night was claustrophobic, and the room we stayed in the second night was better but weirdly located (with a big window facing a pool that nobody seemed to use). The beds were comfy.

Clean, open and amazing location!

We stayed here for two nights before heading down to Antigua and loved our stay! The dorm room we stayed in was really nice, they way they have designed and laid out the room is just what backpackers need. We really liked the light and plug points in each bed set up and our dorm with the sliding door out to the pool was really cool! Also the rooftop was nice to relax and meet other guests on.
