The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and airy. The breakfast variety is adequate. Rooms include an ironing board and coffee maker. It's a practical room. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Avoid

Terrible service at reception. Couldn't find my booking and refused to cooperate. I indicated that some time they make mistakes with my name. Refused to try. Finally after waiting found it in his own reservation cards. Not even an apology. Not recommended. Room very simple also. Not even a bottle of water with temperature of 34 degrees

Hi 257mercedesc,
Thank you for your stay at Holiday Inn Budapest – Budaörs. We sincerely appreciate your visit and value the opportunity to host you as one of our esteemed guests.
While we work hard to ensure every guest has a perfect experience, I'm sorry to learn that your visit did not reflect this, particularly with the service experience at reception, the challenges in locating your reservation, and the room not meeting expectations in terms of comfort and amenities. I’d like to look into this further for you. Please send your reservation details, contact information, any actions taken by the hotel team, along with your Tripadvisor username and reference number to IHGService@ihg.com, and we will be glad to assist from there.
We hope to host you again soon and deliver a much more satisfying stay.
Best regards,
Sarah S.

Everything would be okay if it weren't for the lack of empathy and kindness.....!!!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a lovely vacation in Budapest with an organized trip; the hotel is a nice, large, and comfortable 4-star hotel about 20 minutes from downtown Budapest, the room was nice, clean, and equipped with all the comforts, with well-functioning air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a nice bathroom.
Breakfast and dinner buffet with a large, abundant, and tasty variety of both savory and sweet food. Unfortunately, the negative note is the total lack of empathy, availability, and kindness from 99% of the staff towards customers who do not speak English or their language!!! What a shame.......!!!!!
