Anantara Budapest

Great service in the most beautiful setting, nothing was too much trouble from reception, housekeeping, restaurant, concierge and spa.
Special mention to Imre who was very attentive.
Breakfast was an amazing experience with pianist or violinist to entertain us.

The interior of the hotel is gorgeous. The location is terrible and the entrance during the day is blocked by line ups of people waiting to enter the New York Caffe. More importantly is the terrible customer service and lack of response from their front desk. Although, we booked and fully paid for our stay in the hotel through hotels.com, at the time of check out the front desk made us pay an extra fee for city taxes which we didn’t know about. We were rushing to catch our ride, therefore we paid the additional charge and asked for a receipt so we can review the legitimacy of the charge. Front desk informed us that they will email us the receipt. They never did. We emailed the hotel two days ago requesting copy of our receipt but we did not receive any response yet. Too bad how customer service could ruin the experience of such a lovely hotel!

Teodora was absolutely great and professional

Teodora was great, friendly and professional with lots of knowledge on the food & drinks menu. She gave us great advice on the wine and food menu pairings and had a lovely chat with us about the new york cafe . A breath of fresh air and looked after us beautifully

Great dinner…

We had our first dinner at White restaurant. Our waitress was Zone. Zina was a fantastic waitress. She was knowledgeable about the menu. Paid attention to our questions and ga is amazing timely service. We will be coming back because of Zina.

end of cruise in Budapest

Hotel was selected by Viking Cruises. Very fortunate for us. A beautiful hotel with early 20th century ambiance of the best sort. Room was spacious and well equipped. Lounge, bar and restaurants were outstanding.
