I can’t wait to go back!

I recently spent 4 days in Budapest with my 20 year old grandson and stayed at the Carlton Buda Castle Hotel. Our experience could not have been better. The hotel staff, ie. Reception, breakfast staff, housekeeping and management were wonderful. They were friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome, like we were family. The breakfast buffet was awesome! The location of the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the Chain Bridge, the Fisherman’s Bastion, St. Mathias church, the Danube and with a little more walking even more. The hotel rate was very fair and reasonable. I have been to Budapest 6 or 7 times and will not hesitate to stay there again on my next visit.

The room was clean and had a patio, which was a pleasant surprise. There was a small refrigerator in the room that I used to keep my water cold. For a traveler from the US it was different to have 2 twin beds pushed together, but the bed was very comfortable.
The buffet breakfast was excellent, many hot and cold choices. Lots of staff keeping it very clean and restocked. The front desk was very helpful and courteous. It was a bargain for the price. I would definitely stay there again.

I was very impressed by the quality of staff this hotel has employed. Very happy and helpful front desk. Professional dining staff in the mornings that were polite, friendly and worked well together like a well oiled machine. Room was spotless and room service was what I expected. This hotel is also very centrally located which is perfect for exploring the city. Also a wonderful pub right below it in the alley and a traditional restaurant just north of it 50 meters on the main road. No view with our standard room but it was absolutely unnecessary as we wanted to be out and exploring. Highly recommended.

Great location, good breakfast, air conditioning, and good price.

Great hotel near Buda Castle and river with excellent breakfast buffet and air conditioning in all rooms.
Charming breakfast, bar, and lobby area. Price is reasonable.
We were here for record heat so room AC was barely able to keep us comfortable but acceptable.
