Good caretaker wanted

Györ is unfortunately not exactly blessed with good hotels. The Capitulum cannot change my mind either. The hotel type (renovated old town house) raises high hopes that reality cannot quite keep up with. The room furnishings look cheap, in my room 2 of a total of 4 lighting sources had completely failed (it looks like not only recently). The hotel desperately needs a little update: there are many little things: from wobbly fittings in the bathroom to the lift jerking and making sounds as if it were already 50 years old. The breakfast buffet is also paltry for a 4-star hotel. The hotel offers nothing in terms of infrastructure (outside as I said the breakfast room). 4 stars are excessively exaggerated, 3 would definitely do. The most positive thing about this hotel is the location right in the old town. Not good value for money.

Great location but overall ok. Solid option

Great location but otherwise ok ..
A dated hotel but good level of cleanliness
Breakfast was not good; limited and cold.
I also asked the reception if there was any water (either for sale or spare) and was told to go to a nearby shop which i thought was interesting…

The hotel is fine, not new but still in okay condition. It was clean and the personal was nice and helpful.
The instructions how to get there are really difficult to follow but we asked around and managed.
