I would not choose to stay here again
The positive things were the location, which was close to the town centre, and the air conditioning, which was very useful because it was very hot outside.
Unfortunately, the rooms were old and not very clean. The bathroom did not seem properly cleaned either. There were no separate shampoo and shower gel products, only a dispenser on the wall with the same liquid used as both hand wash and shower gel, different dispenser
The breakfast was very disappointing. The food seemed cheap and low quality, and we ended up going out for breakfast and coffee. They even had peaches that did not look fresh and were not something I would normally eat.
The hotel advertises a hot tub and jacuzzi, but these have to be paid for separately and are not included in the stay.
For the price, I expected much better. The staff were just invisible and we hardly saw anyone during our stay. Luckily, our stay was only for two nights.
The hotel definitely needs some modernisation and a much better breakfast selection with fresher, higher-quality food.
Overall, I do not think the hotel offers good value for money, and I would not choose to stay here again

I wouldn’t recommend staying here
I recently stayed at what is now called the Plaza Hotel with my sister for a couple of days. Let’s start with the positives—though it will be a short list. The reception staff were friendly and did their best to help. We had to change rooms immediately upon arrival. We had requested separate beds, but the only available option was on the ground floor, which was fine in theory, but in reality the room was nothing like the pictures on the website. It was also located right next to the restaurant, and we quickly realized that we could hear everything from the kitchen and reception area.
We then moved to another room, which was slightly better — it had a double bed (although separating it would’ve been a two-minute job). Still, it became clear we’d made a mistake booking this place. The room was just okay, again far from the polished photos on Booking.com. It was “clean-ish”—the surface looked cleaned, but not thoroughly. The bathroom had limescale buildup, the towels smelled like they’d been left damp in the washing machine too long, and we noticed several spiderwebs.
The beds were very soft and uncomfortable, though of course this is a matter of personal preference. On the first day, I requested cleaning both with the door sign and at the reception; they clened a bit and changed the towels. The next day I only used the door sign—no cleaning happened.
The worst part of the stay was breakfast. Honestly, it was unacceptable. The entire hotel reeked of cooking smells, and there was a distinct, unpleasant odor that made me feel sick just walking out of the room. The food selection was poor: a few eggs (which I didn’t dare try because of the smell), stale bread rolls, some pastries, basic deli meats and cheese of the cheapest kind. The coffee came from a giant samovar and was poorly filtered and bitter. Only cow’s milk was available, which my sister can’t have, and there were a few spreads and jams—not even real butter.
After our first breakfast, we decided to eat elsewhere. Unfortunately, on our last day it was raining heavily, so we had no choice but to eat in the hotel again.
We had hoped to find a clean, affordable hotel in the city center—especially with the promise of new ownership. Instead, what we experienced felt like a complete misrepresentation. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless there are major improvements.
Excellent location
