Not a four star hotel
This is a very average 2 or 3 star hotel in a pretty picturesque town. The hotel is very basic, although included half board (breakfast and dinner) which was a buffet. Food is very heavy and salty… hotel includes free water, coffee and juice but only till 6pm….
Our room had a king bed which was two singles pushed together, which moved apart overnight. Mattress very soft (foam) pillows very hard. Bathroom is large with shower only, towels are dreadful- small and thin. The room had a balcony which was nice place to chill after a day out with beers bought from the local supermarket.
The thermal pool is very nice to chill in….
Hungarian and German is spoken and no English. If you only speak English you are in trouble…..

Everything used to be better...
More guests are admitted to this spa than there are sunbeds available at all. It's very cold and too noisy for a spa as well as definitely crowded.
The rooms are large and spacious but still dirty!
The service at the bar doesn't understand a word of German and just turns around and leaves without bringing anyone else who understands German or at least English.
The choice of food was good, but unfortunately everything was COLD!
Cold soups, as well as cold to lukewarm main courses are part of the program here.
It's a shame that this spa/hotel has disqualified and will no longer be a destination.
10 years ago we were last there, we were more than thrilled but since then everything has changed for the negative!

unpolite lifeguard personnel
A nice bath with a lot of different pools. A water could be warmer.
I like that in the thermal bath area there is lot of greens. This makes the area even more relaxing.
Despite my general experience was nice, lifeguard personnel was very unpolite!
I would advise management to take care about their employees attitude and behaviour!

Slightly disappointing
For nostalgic reasons we stayed at this hotel/therme. First the positive: the room for 3 ladies was sufficiently large and also clean, the terrace to the garden very large. Then, however, a number of things were not to our taste: the pools in the thermal bath are too cold and seem very unkempt, that for the sauna (where only a few things work) is extra to pay - incomprehensible. Despite paying up the barrier could not be opened - we had to climb or crawl through it several times.
The dinner buffet is designed for mass not class, hardly any Hungarian food in Hungary; the breakfast we found better - there was more choice and also sufficient fruit and cereal ingredients.

Definitely not a 4* hotel experience
The hotel is very beautiful, and the staff is also friendly.
BUT!
The service is absolutely not at the level of a 4-star hotel.
The breakfast and dinner are absolutely neither plentiful nor varied.
At the buffet dinner, there are usually 3 main courses, 2 of which are low-budget (pasta/saucy dishes).
Additionally, dinner is served in two shifts, which you have to decide upon at check-in. We chose the second shift (8:00 PM - 9:30 PM), but it happened several times that some dishes were no longer available to us.
Breakfast is also very average, roughly at the level of a guesthouse.
A positive aspect is the proximity to the bath, which can be accessed through a corridor.
