The highlight of my travel

I’ve have stayed 10 days here and I can tell you this was the highlight of my travel.
Istvan is an excellent host, his hospitality and good tastes shows how much he loves his business. Besides his tremendous volunteer work what he does he is restlessly trying to make your stay memorable. Every breakfast was awesome, the place was enchanting and quiet unique with plenty of toiletries available to use.
He also was kind enough to offer field trips whenever he was driving somewhere. They were awesome places.
Wifi worked well, easy access to landmarks.
He has bikes available for rides and I did nearby Duna’s bike trails. Beautiful ride!
I have nothing but great things to say!

We had a lovely stay with a warm welcome at a very special place

István is a beautiful host who took very well care of us! His “Panzio” has an unique atmosphere. The room was big and full of beautiful furniture. All was very clean and we had a “home away from home” feeling! Breakfast was a feast in the beautiful, lush garden. As well as all the rooms, the garden was very well kept!

Through the doors into another world

The highlight of our trip , an amazing place full of history,beauty and tranquility and of course Ivstan the owner
Ivstan is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble and he is always entertaining
The suites are full of china,ornaments and lovely furniture and the courtyard garden is beautiful with birds nesting and a fish pond ,is the perfect setting for the great breakfasts Ivstan serves

Absolutely incredible wine tasting experience

We came here expecting to kill some time with wine and good food.
We left utterly humbled, enlightened, and with memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
We were treated like family and experienced some of the finest wines Hungary has to offer, as well as tasting exquisite food to compliment the fantastic wines, all the while surrounded by a beautiful garden and unique Hungarian antiques to truly transports you back in time.
This isn’t just a wine tasting showcase; this is a raw dive into traditional Hungarian wine and folklore experience.
The owner, Mr Istvan, does not treat this like an enterprise; this is a passion to him, and he expresses his passion for his craft in the manner he treats his guests. When you come here, you aren’t a sack of money; you are family, here to learn and celebrate the Hungarian wine experience.
If you have even a fraction of a passing interest in Hungarian wines, you absolutely MUST visit this place.

Excellent decision to book this accommodation

We stayed at Fonagy & Walter Vendeg- es Borhaz in October this year and let me say for us it was outstanding. As my partner said - the host Istvan is a breath of fresh air after staying at chain hotels. The place is absolutely charming - old world, spacious and clean. The host has art work and bric-a-brac throughout and is always on hand to assist and provide advice. This accommodation is only a relatively short walk from Vac station, which is only half an hour from Budapest. From the accommodation to the Danube is a two minute walk and to the shopping and restaurant area a mere five minutes. The breakfast provided by the host was magnificent and healthy in a wonderful room filled with antiques and artwork. In the warmer months it is possible to sit, eat an relax in the private garden. We highly recommend that this is the place to stay in Vac. The town itself provides a nice two or three break from the hustle and bustle of Budapest. We live in Australia but visit Budapest once every two or three years, it is one of our favourite world cities. And the next time we come we will certainly spend two or three days at this accommodation which is hosted by the wonderful gentleman Istvan.
