Nice hotel with a hot tubs and a garden. The staff was nice and I could bring my best friend ( my labrador ) with me without paying anything extra. The surroundings are nice.

Lovely hotel - decent priced and central to landmarks. Food at the restaurant is very pricey but the price for the room was good and the room has the most comfortable bedding and bed! Extra plus. Lovely service from the staff too

We stayed at The Hill in late April 2026. It's a great central location to go to Gullfoss, Geysir, several hikes (some that are only accessible in the summer), the only mushroom farm in Iceland and has a cafe, a dairy farm with cafe, and the Secret Lagoon. There's also a great restaurant ten minutes away that specialized in chocolate and langostines. Our room was quite large, which we appreciated. However, we could hear everything other guest were doing - walking or running down the hall, moving hangers in the closet, talking, etc. Our room did not face the courtyard, so to access the area, we would have had to walk to a common doorway - not really that big of a deal. There weren't many common areas for sitting outside of the room, and the room wasn't comfortable for just sitting. The hot tubs were small and kind of distanced from the common doorway. Our patio was small, and you have to access it via a door in the shower. We were given one very flat pillow each, and this was incredibly uncomfortable. Wifi worked well. Hot water ran out for one of my showers, and I had only been in there for three minutes max when my water turned cold. Breakfast was decent, and we chose to eat other meals elsewhere. Overall, good location, nice looking facility, but somethings were just not well conceived or comfortable.

We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. The bed was comfortable. There was only two small hot tubs which if the property had been full, would’ve made it a bit crowded for everyone.
There was plenty of parking.
The bathroom sink had a shelf above it, which was great for putting your bathroom items on, but it made it difficult to lean over the sink without hitting your head. The shower required you to use the provided squeegee which you needed to do or it would have flooded into the rest of the bathroom. The floor was slippery if you walked into the bathroom from the hot tub area. Would highly recommend getting a room that faces the hot tub area as it made it very convenient to access the hot tub.
