Proximity to Taj Mahal is great and has a view. Need to be warned that lift inoperable in early morning . Staff tries to be helpful

So much missed potential

Attended this hotel for a ‘high tea overlooking the Taj Mahal’. You can’t even really see the Taj Mahal due to the overgrowth of shrubs/bushes blocking the view. There was an event/wedding on when I attended so they were using the outdoor space. My group were sat inside and given sandwiches with only one filling like coleslaw, onion bhajis, fresh chips (which were actually good), biscuits which were stale/soft and you were offered either a tea or coffee. I would prefer to eat somewhere else better without the so called view of the Taj than go here again. It has so much potential to be better than what it is.

The view from the rooftop deck is fantastic. You can see the Taj Mahal and actually the halls, including the art in the halls, and the marble floors are quite lovely but when you open the door into the rooms, it’s another story. Everything‘s ran down and dirty. the rooms need a refresh and good scrub the bathroom well I just decided not to even take a shower that should say it all.
