Value for money stay

The rooms are small but clean. Wonderful service. 1.2 kms from Kalinga Sports Complex and adjacent to NH16. The cooking facility is there. The top floor offers security. Use GPS to reach the hotel as the signboard is not visible from the road.

Clean rooms, great customer care and excellent location

Mr. R.K. Panda showed excellent hospitality. Pradeep was a good guy. They maintain the hotel good, rooms, bathrooms and kitchen was really clean and tidy. The location is right close to NH16. I have never seen such hospitality in my recent trips.

strategically located and a very great person Mr RK Panda

We stayed here for 3N/4D from 13th to 16th October. The key person associated with Saraswathi Retreat is Mr R K Panda. He is the whole and sole of this property. A very good person who is kind, reasonable and very helpful. Guides with what we need to see and what we can skip. arranges for any of the requirements.
However the positives end up over here. We landed there at a time when renovation activites had commenced in some of the rooms. The house keeping is not prompt, the dust bin and foot rug near the bathroom doors were not replaced regularly. Hot water in the bathroom was another major issue. The rooms are spacious enough and well ventilated. However we could see lots of rat droppings, though we could not see rats. The other issue is that this guest house is located at 6th floor and is a bit risky if you have kids. Also, there is no in-house restaurant. There is one located at ground floor by name 'The Chef', but they dish out both veg and non-veg dishes. Since we were vegetarians we had real tough time for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We used to go to hotel Priya near Railway station. Later we got to know that Iskon is walkable, but then you have to cross a main road and crossing that is like risking your life and limb as it is a highway and no signal for pedestrian crossing. This is around 5 kms from railway station and same distance to airport. Auto's charge around 100/- from railway station to this accommodation. There is no concept of metered auto in Bhubaneswar, you have to negotiate.
Hopefully the drawbacks mentioned above get resolved after renovation.

Fair Stay

Rooms are good and spacious. A real family type of atmosphere..Manager Pandey & other staff are very cooperative.Only problem is there is no restaurant on the floor. You have to go out for breakfast,lunch or dinner. In breakfast they will provide tea and bread jam only.Only opportunity for improvement is food can be cooked and provided. Overall experience is very good.

Nice stay !

Saraswati retreat is a good , clean , species room specialy Tommy no .5,6 ,1,2 .
Manager Pandey & other staff are very co-oprative . Only problem is there is no restaurant on the floor. You have to go out for breakfast,lunch or dinner. The basement restaurant - The Chef offers very testy food .
