Okay hotel

Under renovation. Room service or housing are not up to the mark. Complimentary break fast just ok. Food curd rice just ok. Hospitality is just okay. Restaurant ambience good service just average. Vegetarian food just ok. Centrally located.

Absolutely awful

We arrived to the entrance steps full of people just sitting outside. The room was grubby and smelled damp. The lining of the curtains was torn in several places. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly and the sink wasn't cleaned properly. Although we got vouchers for WiFi, it didn't connect. The room is next to a noisy road and the other guests were sat outside in the hallway, talking loudly from 6am. We asked for a refund but have been told we have to dispute it with the company who's site we used. We didn't stay for the four nights booked, but left after one night....we arrived at 9.30pm

Ill maintained property t excellent location

The location is superb almost across Dr. MGR Chennai Central Railway Station with easy access to metro stations and bus stops. The staff are quite friendly. The room had clean sheets and a decent bathroom. However, that is about it all. The property is quite ill maintained. The walls in the rooms were feeling wet probably due to water seepage in to the concrete. It looks (but may not necessarily be) dusty almost everywhere and maintains a 'moth eaten look everywhere from the Reception onward. The buffet breakfast was sort of sketchy but passable. If the management makes a serious effort with regard to the upkeep of the building, it should be an attractive option for any one visiting Chennai while arriving by by train.
