A NICE PLEASANT STAY AT A POSH LOCATION

I travelled as a solo traveller, wonderful hospitality by receptionist Aloke Sarkar and team, good quality and condition of rooms with geyser facilities, room heater was available at an affordable cost, daily cleaned and sanitized ,my only recommendation is to only keep a thermal IR Gun at reception for temperature checking of guest's which was missing otherwise a place of accomodation with value for money...loved the hotel MMT.
Suggestions: More marketing and advertising required on the location otherwise a nice place

Worst owner - Avoid this hotel

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. While it is advertised as being close to Mall Road, the actual location is far from convenient. The hotel is tucked away inside narrow lanes, and reaching it involves climbing multiple steps uphill, which is especially difficult if you’re carrying luggage.
To make matters worse, there was no assistance provided with our bags during check-in—we had to manage everything ourselves. This lack of basic hospitality was quite frustrating.
What truly made the experience unacceptable was the owner’s behavior. After we shared our concerns in a review, instead of acknowledging the issue or offering an apology, the owner responded with sarcastic and defensive remarks. This level of unprofessionalism is simply not acceptable in the hospitality industry.
Overall, the inconvenient location combined with poor service and rude management makes this place not worth visiting. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Not Good

Stayed here on 29th and 30th of Oct 2018 and our stay was not as expected.
I will start with the positive one. Rooms are having modern look. It has TV , Geyser and Intercom facility. They have upgraded our rooms to super deluxe room and which was very kind. Room has spectacular view of Kanchengangha. Receptionist was very polite and decent. Hotel is walkable from Mall market area.
I will start with areas of improvement now. Room linen was dirty and it was definitely not cleaned before provided to us. Duvet cover has visible yellow marked. Bed sheet has back mark too. Room service boys are bengali speaking but very arrogant. Finding the hotel will be very difficult so does the hotel know. They have sent a guy to take us from the main road. Water in the washroom was finished at midnight only and if you call them no one would pick up the calls. Early morning sightseeing plan got cancelled because of it. They switched on water pump at 6 30 AM but still water supply was there till 07:15 AM. So plan your trip accordingly.

HOTEL WITHOUT ROAD ACCESS

We stayed (11 People - 3 Families) in this hotel for single day 21st May 2017.
Find very difficult to carry our lugguage as we have to climb the steps to reach the hotel. No road access to this hotel. We had a terrible experience in reaching our cabs.
Hotel Staff were cordial - Rooms were small. Don't open the window.

Clean and Efficient

If you want a clean , centrally located , efficiently run , with good customer service and a value for money hotel in Darjeeling than your stay at Hotel Sandrup will fulfill all your needs and much more . The approach is a little difficult as most hotels in Darjeeling are but not steep and pick up facility is provided by the hotel . The view from the front facing rooms are amazing . You get to see the entire lower bazar as well as Kanchenjunga . Situated between motor stand and mall , all places are easily accessible . A total package and a great value for money
