One of the Worst Hotel Experiences I've Ever Had – Book at Your Own Risk
My two-day stay at Lime Tree was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've ever had. If you're planning to book this property, I strongly suggest you reconsider. The hotel charges premium rates but fails to deliver even the most basic standards of hospitality.
The property appears to have converted a nearby building into accommodation with makeshift arrangements while charging guests as though they are staying in a full-service hotel. Although the rooms initially appear decent, the essential amenities are either missing or completely unreliable.
The biggest problem was the absence of hot water throughout my entire stay. Not a single room had hot water for two consecutive days. Every time we reported the issue, the reception staff offered different explanations instead of resolving the problem. Rather than taking ownership, they seemed more interested in deflecting responsibility.
The problems didn't stop there. On several occasions, the bathroom water supply was unavailable during the morning, making it impossible to get ready for work. Surprisingly, no basic toiletries were provided. Even the ironing facilities were substandard. The hotel had only two or three old irons available for all guests, and the poor-quality iron I received ended up damaging my shirt. These are not luxury expectations—they are the minimum services any hotel should provide.
The restaurant was equally disappointing. The menu was extremely limited, and the service was painfully slow. Even simple orders took an unreasonable amount of time to be served, while the staff were rarely visible outside the kitchen. The entire dining experience reflected poor planning and inefficient management.
What stood out the most was the attitude of the reception staff. Communication was consistently poor, and I frequently received contradictory or misleading information. Instead of assisting guests professionally, the staff behaved as though they were doing customers a favour.
The most unacceptable incident occurred at checkout. Without informing me or calling me (evenafter they have my contact details), or obtaining my permission, the hotel staff removed all my belongings from the room simply because my checkout time of 11 am has exceeded. This time was no where mentioned or communicated. Eveafter I reached back to the hotel by around 1 pm to checkout. Handling a guest's personal belongings without prior communication is completely unacceptable. Had any valuables gone missing, it could have resulted in a very serious situation. When questioned, the staff had excuses ready instead of acknowledging that a simple phone call could have avoided the entire incident.
As this was a business trip, the hotel also created unnecessary embarrassment by repeatedly calling my HR department regarding payment—at least six or seven times in a single day—even before we had checked in. Such unprofessional conduct is unacceptable for any hotel that claims to cater to business travellers.
Overall, this hotel failed in almost every aspect that matters: basic amenities, maintenance, customer service, communication, professionalism, and respect for guests. If there was a zero rating I would have given it.
I will never stay at this property again and would not recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and choose another hotel unless you're prepared to compromise on basic comfort, professionalism, and guest service.

Wonderful staff and beautiful rooms. Everyone is so friendly and helpful., I was pleasantly surprised at how welcoming and nice the Lime tree was.The hotel is close to the main strip walking wide and to other restaurants.ooms-rooms were very warm. We had the one bedroom suite. First the staff are incredible! Friendly, professional and dedicated to helping you have the best vacation ever!

We are not going back to Lime tree
We went x business, 2 nights, the room was a double. The sheets were all stained, the pillows very old yellowish and the pillowcases broken. The breakfast very very basic, on the 1st day there was neither hot nor cold milk, there was directly no, there was no cutlery to serve food, the past fruit (impossible to eat), a disaster!!
Walls badly painted or with paint out, clutter, lacks much maintenance.

Avoid this Hotel – Unsafe and Unprofessional Experience for Solo Female Travelers
I recently had a highly disappointing and distressing experience with a hotel I booked through a well-known platform, and I feel it’s important to share this so others, especially families and solo female travelers, are aware.
I had booked my stay well in advance, but when I arrived at the hotel, the staff initially denied my reservation. After hours of frustration and back-and-forth, they confirmed my booking over the phone. However, when I returned to check-in, I was told that the hotel was "fully booked" and they could no longer accommodate me.
As a solo female traveler, this was not only inconvenient but also unsafe. I had to leave the hotel and search for last-minute accommodation in an unfamiliar area. To make matters worse, the staff and manager, Mr. Tiwari, were completely unhelpful and dismissive of the situation. I wasn’t the only one facing issues at the hotel—other guests were also experiencing similar booking problems, which added to the frustration.
The lack of professionalism and disregard for guests' concerns was shocking. No apology was offered, and my booking was ultimately canceled, leaving me stranded and stressed.
