A cozy and warm hotel

Mi haveli mi palace, this establishment built in 1920, located almost in the city center, has a lot of charm, with its inner courtyard, garden, period furniture, vintage decoration. Modern equipment makes it very comfortable.
The only establishment in our program with a warm welcome and invitation to sit down for tea with cookies. The rooms are spacious, without windows, but with lighting that compensates for the absence of light. Bottles of water, kettle, tea coffee available. Silent fan and air conditioning, flat screen TV. Office area and armchairs. Special socket for charging phones. Wifi 5 G effective throughout the establishment. Modern and functional bathroom, with hot water. Courtesy cosmetics. The linen is clean and soft.
Breakfast in the form of a varied buffet.
Everything is simple, clean and efficient. Just walk through the gate to the shopping streets and small markets. A nice peaceful place to stay.
Thanks to Anuradha Dwivedi and Indu Mulik for their hospitality and delicate attention.

Gwalior and Krishnayan Heritage House - a must.

I think Gwalior has quickly become one of my favorite cities in India. It's amazing - a well kept secret. Staying at Krishnayan Heritage House was key to this. A sincere thanks to Laxman for the wonderful chats about local history— his recommendations were spot on, especially the tip to visit the Bateshwar group of temples and the Jai Vilas Palace. I loved our chats. My room was exactly what I look for: spacious, clean, airy, and true heritage style. The service was just right and the home-cooked breakfasts and dinners were excellent every single day - I didn't want to go anywhere else. Between the heritage charm and the genuine hospitality, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you Laxman and family.

Truly beautiful.

We had 2 rooms for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The level of hospitality is exemplary. The rooms are big (obviously, it's a heritage property), beautifully maintained and spotless. The beds are comfortable. The food (both breakfast and dinner) are home cooked by the owner herself and it's really fresh, hot, tasty local home cooked fare. Laxman (her son, who manages the place as well) was a warm, friendly host and his staff is equally welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.

Krishnayan Heritage a timeless experience.

**Krishnayan Heritage: A Timeless Experience**
Step into Krishnayan Heritage, and you are immediately transported back a century, into the regal ambience of Maratha royalty. This charming haveli, built over a century ago by the descendants of the legendary Dadasaheb Phalke, was originally named "Krishna Mandir" in memory of Krishna Bai Saheb, the grandmother of Shri.Vijay Chandrasenrao Phalke. (Present co-owner of the property) Presently Shri Vijay Chandrasenrao Phalke and his wife, Smt. Lalita Phalke, graciously host guests at what is now known as "Krishnayan Heritage."
Despite being a century old, the haveli remains both charming and grandiose, with rufous-dressed stone walls, stone pillars, high ceilings, and Burma teak wooden double leaf doors. The front room, now a reception area, retains its vintage charm with a traditional Indian-style "zoola" (swing) for guests to enjoy. The property features nine rooms, including two suites each comprising two bedrooms and a living area. All rooms are spacious, with beautifully decorated double beds, cupboards, luggage racks, and clothes hangers, exuding a vintage charm.
The bathrooms offer a relaxing atmosphere due to their unusually large size, which rivals that of the best five-star hotels. Luxurious sanitary fittings and fixtures, including glass partitions for the shower area, rain showers, two-way mixer diverters, and countertop basins with single lever mixers, add to the indulgent experience. The only downside is the instant water heater with a small storage capacity, which does not provide a comfortable hot water bath during winter.
Krishnayan Heritage does not have a dedicated kitchen, but lunch and dinner can be made to order. Breakfast is included in the tariff, although it's complimentary the options are not many but unlimited and is served daily in the dining area.
One of the most positive aspects of this homestay is its location, right in the heart of the shopping and market area. Despite this, the interior of the haveli remains tranquil. Guests can enjoy the best local ethnic food at nearby restaurants, and there are several local vendors serving kachori, puri, and of course that Atalji's favourite halwaiwala's gulab jamun in the mornings, as well as a renowned flavored milk vendor offering Keshariya milk.
In conclusion, Krishnayan Heritage lives up to its reputation as the best homestay in the region. The manager and staff are polite and courteous, ensuring a peaceful and royal stay in the realm of 19th-century royalty.
Highly recommended for those interested in an authentic royal homestay experience in Gwalior.

Highly recommended

We spent three very enjoyable nights at Krishnayan Heritage. Beautiful haveli building with large courtyard and massive reception area, both nice places to relax. The room was very comfortable with a huge modern bathroom. Really nice breakfast too with a mixture of fresh fruit, regional items (poha, paratha) and omelette, toast etc. Gwalior is a fascinating city, plus we did a very interesting day trip to Bateshwar and Mitawali temples via Mr Gopal c/o their travel desk. But the best thing about Krishnayan Heritage is the warmth and hospitality that both the staff and owners show to their guests. Highly recommended
