Good Location

Good location,and good service.Good maintenance also.rooms also species and co-operative staff in this property .The room was large and there is a very good restaurant in the premises.grate experience

Nice Suite rooms

One should not judge a book by it's cover. This is true in case of Samanvi International Hotel,Belur. We stayed for a day . Here on return you carry pleasent memories of nice Suite rooms, delicious food from restaurant below, and smiling people to serve you.

Good Stay

This hotel is has all the qualities of a star hotel. It has a some good food. The rooms are spacious with a cozy feel. The only suggestion is they need to change the mattress which seems a bit hard, also their pillows. The food served their restaurant is quite good. The tariff is decent for the amenities that you get in the room and also the service is good.

Bad toilets, lacking infrastructure - at best just a lodge and not a hotel

I booked two rooms of this hotel through OYO, paying almost 13K (for two rooms) for one night. The pictures seemed decent. However, when we arrived, we were disappointed with the following:
1. Entrance and appeal - looks like a lodge (even the hoarding calls it a lodge)
2. Dirty linens and pillow covers (with severe black marks)
3. Bed was filled with dust and I ended up with a dust allergy
4. Lights not functioning in the toilet
5. Toilet shower broken (both the one for taking bath as well as the one near the commode)
6. The lodge was mentioned to be in chikmaglur - however it is in belur, about 30 kms from chikmaglur
7. The price list of the lodge was almost 60% lower than what OYO had charged us (mind you; OYO gave me a 30% "year-end discount", still the original price list of the lodge was cheaper by about 60%)
So if you are looking for a "low cost stay" with "low expectations", then this place might be worth for 1.5K. Beyond that its not recommended. I travelled with my family and it was not a stay worth remembering.

Average hotel

They did not know that we have booked a room there. Thankfully a room was free and we grabbed it. The room was just average. But I think it was okay given the price. Location is easy to find. Around 1.5 Km from the main temple.
