Great Choice for Families and Kids
We stayed at Green Planet Hotel & Restaurant as a large family group with small kids, and it turned out to be a wonderful and memorable experience. The property is set in a spacious, green campus that feels very calm and refreshing, away from the usual city noise. The atmosphere is extremely peaceful, and waking up to the sound of birds every morning was truly relaxing.
The kids had an amazing time exploring the open areas and spending time at the swimming pool, which is well maintained and safe for families. Since we were traveling as a group, the management thoughtfully allocated adjacent cottages, which made it very convenient for us to stay connected while still enjoying privacy.
There is ample parking space, which is a big plus when traveling with multiple vehicles. The entire property feels well planned, clean, and family-friendly.
A special mention to the owner and his wife, who were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. They personally guided us with sightseeing plans, suggested nearby attractions, and even helped us attend a Theyyam performance close by—an authentic and unforgettable cultural experience.
The food served was tasty, fresh, and homely. While the menu options are slightly limited, the quality and flavor more than make up for it.
Overall, Green Planet is an excellent choice for families, especially those traveling with children or in groups. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay surrounded by nature, spacious surroundings, warm hospitality, and a relaxed vibe, this place comes highly recommended.

Perfect for a weekend getaway!
We absolutely loved our weekend stay here . True to its name the property is surrounded by so much greenery that you would want to just stay there and not venture out.. they grow their own vegetables and we enjoyed all our meals here. In fact Mr Rajesh helped us choose some local delicacies which the chef prepared for us each day. The owners stay within the premises and Mrs Sreena ensured we were taken care of very well.
The room and bathroom are very clean and well maintained. Must commend the housekeeping team.
And thanks to every member of the staff who attended to us - each one of them was very courteous and went out of their way to help.
While we did travel to Kannur on day two, we spent most of our time at the resort, lounging in the lobby or just watching the rain from the balcony

Homely atmosphere-Home cooked food-Well maintained-Helpful owners
Loved the homely ambience & how the owners are willing to accomodate your needs and are ready tosuggest travel itineraries. Clean place(4.5yrs old), lots of open/common spaces to walk around,simple home style food and enjoyed great tea!

Excellent place to stay
An excellent place to stay near Kannur International Airport. As the name suggests it is a beautiful place with lot of greenery. Very quiet place with excellent staff. Room was very neat and tidy. We went for a two day visit to temples around Kannur. The Manager Mr Rajesh was very efficient and courteous and helped us a lot in planning our trips.The food was excellent. They are growing vegetables there and most of the veg dishes given to us were with items grown in their compound itself. We were very well taken care of and I strongly recommend the Hotel for a comfortable stay.

Homestay plus Resort
Experience a resort type ambience, run like a homestay close to Kannur airport. We were pleasantly surprised to see a well spread out property nestled in nature but having modern amenities. A few niggles here and there as can be expected as there was limited staff. The owner and his wife live here and are hands on. Great food cooked as per your request.
