Quiet, peaceful, neat and clean, modern village home amidst orchards and jungle
The home stay is in a quiet, peaceful jungle and there are many walking trails for the adventurous, early risers to explore. Whatever small hamlets you encounter on the way, the villagers are quite friendly and warm and most know the owner of the stay. It is quite close to not so famous, small, local waterfall called Neepli where you can go to have some fun and frolic in the water and get wet, safe for children. Also, it is reasonably close - within 5 Km to famous Jog Falls and if you do not have a vehicle, the staff would call one for you. The owner is a good host, willing to provide whatever is possible in such places. The food is reasonably good, cooked in the kitchen co located in the stay. It is typically Indian, spicy and hot. If you can not handle that, be emphatic and specify No Chillies to the cook or better, owner. You pay for your meals except breakfast which are served hot in the adjoining dining hall. Their filter coffee is worth a try. This is a place for those who love peace, quite and solitude of the jungle and not for city slickers, noise seekers.

Fine if you like that sort of thing
Two basic double rooms with AC - the rest is open plan
The photos on the Booking and their own web site are very out of date and it is quite tired looking now
The hosts are keen but English is limited and there was confusion over dinner as we said good night at 9pm only to be woken at 10.30pm to be invited to dine at a pre-laid extensive feast they had prepared.
The main disappointment was the morning after our 1 night stay when a very aggressive and confrontational man arrived demanding further payments for the rooms amounting to about triple the listed price (and we had already paid on arrival)
Furthermore he added the cost of the meal we had been woken to eat despite never ordering it.
Stay here if you want a remote, traditional Indian homestay - don't believe the brochure and beware the check out morning hijack - we refused to pay more and hurriedly left
