Decent place nearby main Vaishno Devi Gate!

I have become so comfortable with this hotel in Katra, that whenever I go to Vaishno Devi, without looking for an option I check-in to this hotel as their services are great with parking as well and a plus point that they are nearby to the entrance gate for Vaishno Devi Temple. I would recommend this as per my experience.

Disappointing Stay with Family – Service Needs Major Improvement

Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Service & Management
TripAdvisor Title: Disappointing Stay with Family – Service Needs Major Improvement
We traveled from Delhi for the Mata Vaishno Devi yatra and stayed here with family, paying ₹4,300. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the price, and the management was highly disappointing.
Here are the key issues we faced during our stay:
Room Issue: The 4-bed room that was initially shown and promised to us was not given at the time of check-in.
No Food/Kitchen Services: We were informed that the chef was unavailable, meaning the kitchen was completely non-functional. We had to bring everything—including basic tea, breakfast, and dinner—from outside.
Power Cuts & Intercom Issues: We faced multiple power outages. Additionally, a staff member, Mr. Arush Sharma, kept the reception phone receiver off the hook, forcing us to walk down to the front desk for every single basic requirement.
Uncooperative Staff: While another gentleman at the desk was very polite and helpful, Mr. Arush Sharma was quite rude, rigid, and argued over minor things, which completely ruined the hospitality experience.
CCTV Incident: I accidentally left a package in the auto-rickshaw and requested to see the CCTV footage to trace it. Mr. Arush flatly refused to help us. We were unfortunately forced to involve the local police just to get the footage shown to the cops.
Final Verdict:
When people travel from far away for a pilgrimage, they expect basic cooperation and peace of mind. Due to the poor management and unhelpful attitude of certain staff, I would not recommend this hotel to families visiting Katra. Better options are definitely available nearby.

Okay place to stay

Just a okay hotel to stay. Linen e.g. towels are so dirty. Needs to improve on this. However price is at lower end, not expensive. We stayed here for 1 day. Charged 500 for early check-in. It would be good if they maintain this little better.

Below average hotel

Visited this hotel earlier this week on a quick getaway to Vaishnodevi. Having reached Katra at 1am we needed a quick sleep over hotel before we started our drive back to Delhi.
Quick negotiation led us to a fairly low rate for 7 hours. Reception is average, they have parking for around 14 cars, very thin staff at night as the guard doubled up for housekeeping and brought us bath towels on check in.
The room was ok sized but pretty dirty with dust visible all over including the table, television, etc. The bed sheets didn't look like they were ever washed or changed and the bathroom has hair strands from the previous guests. Even the towels were dirty.
Ordered tea in the morning in the room which was tasteless. Check out was uneventful and we left. Even the menu was dirty.
Location is on the main road just off the bus stand.
I won't stay here again!

Nice decent hotel with friendly staff and clean room .
Hotel was pre-booked by a friend ,however they gladly accommodated to postpone the dates.
This is one of the closest hotel from Vaishno Devi.
Hotel provided free drop to the yatra slip counter and katra bus stand. There is an in house restaurant and like all other hotels in Katra this serves Veg food only .
