Complaint against Transitel a boutique hotel, Kolkatta

we noticed that the hotel is unprofessional , unsafe, very dirty because of the open drainage in front of the hotel as we found its worst environment, moreover the elevation of the hotel in the Internet is misrepresenting since hospital & diagnostic center is existing in the same building.
The front office manager Sumitava was available at the hotel, but shocking to know that he was clearly avoiding us just because we had booked thro Agoda, in fact I connected Agoda customer care with front office manager Sumitava but he refused to talk and at the same time he was not answering the direct call when agoda customer care called him in his official number. In fact in spite of my request to Sumitava to attend Agoda customer care he refused to speak, later after we had a quarrel then he answered the call from Agoda and the matter was resolved and after three to four hours of arguments the rooms were allotted.

Overall the stay was good and the room was comfortable. Everything was fine, but the service could be improved. I had to wait quite a long time for just one plate. Also, I called the restaurant 6–7 times and no one answered. The plate was delivered after around 30 minutes. Apart from this, the experience was good.

1 star is also very high for this property.

Worst experience of my life. We were forced to wait 1.5 hours past our check-in time before receiving our room. To make matters worse, the manager was incredibly rude and uncooperative. He spoke to us with a very casual, dismissive attitude, treating us as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. The staff overall was unhelpful and lacked any sense of professionalism. I would not recommend staying here.

Pathetic Hotel

I had booked a room at this hotel through MakemyTrip, which showed a 3.5-star rating. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
The room was significantly smaller than depicted in the pictures. Upon check-in, I found the AC's water drainage pipe was leaking, flooding the floor. Despite informing the staff, they did not offer an alternative room.
I paid ₹5,777 (including taxes) for a single night's stay. The veg food was also subpar. Given the experience, I would not recommend this hotel and would rate it 1 star.

Disappointing Experience During My Booking Inquiry

I recently tried booking a room at your hotel online, but before confirming, I called your property to clarify some details since this was going to be my first visit.
During the call, a lady informed me that you do not accept online IDs. I requested to speak with the Front Office Manager for better clarification, and the call was transferred to Mr. Saurav. Unfortunately, my experience with him was extremely disappointing.
Mr. Saurav was very rude and not willing to listen to my concerns. Instead of offering clarification politely, he kept insisting that whatever he was saying was correct and dismissed my queries. When I asked if I could present my ID through DigiLocker (which is a government-verified platform), he outright refused, stating it was “not valid” and went as far as to say that any guest showing an online ID is “doubtful.”
I was shocked to hear such a statement. As a guest, I expect professionalism, respect, and a willingness to assist—not to be spoken to rudely or made to feel suspicious for simply asking a question.
Is this really the standard of service your hotel provides to its guests? Such behavior and misinformation not only tarnish the image of your hotel but also discourage potential customers like me from staying with you.
