Warm, Traditional, Relaxing Stay. Just what I wanted!
I stayed for seven days and six nights, from July 26 to August 1, 2026, with my son in one of the Luxury Plunge Pool Villas. My wife and daughter stayed nearby with relatives, but they joined us regularly for meals, spa treatments, and time at the property. All of us enjoyed various spa treatments during our stay, and the entire experience was deeply relaxing, refreshing, and restorative. We are a family of Indians from USA.
What I loved most about the property was the way it combines traditional South Indian Temple character with comfort. The villa was beautiful and had a wonderful sense of authenticity. I especially loved the rough stone flooring in the bathroom, the plunge pool area, the porch, and the traditional flooring throughout the interior. Nothing felt overly modern or impersonal. Instead, the surroundings had a warmth and character that made the stay feel special.
But what truly made the experience exceptional was the service. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I was greeted many times with folded hands and a cheerful “Vanakkam,” which immediately created a feeling of traditional hospitality. The women serving throughout the property were beautifully dressed in traditional attire, and the men were equally courteous and friendly.(Im not sure why the men did not wear traditional clothes)
I particularly want to mention the wonderful lady who made and served tea—I am sorry that I cannot remember her name. She would bring me tea without sugar while preparing tea with sugar for my uncle, and she would happily offer masala tea, ginger tea, coffee, and other choices. She was always smiling, always attentive, and would ask if we wanted anything more. That kind of personal care is something you remember long after the stay. The entire hotel staff (restaurant, laundry, guards, front desk, repair personel) were fantastic and contributed greatly to the experience.
Every morning, from approximately 3:30 a.m. until 6:30 a.m., I would sit and meditate beneath the beautiful banyan tree next to the diety. The gardens were extraordinarily peaceful at that hour. I don't think anyone even knew I was there. Having that quiet, beautiful space in which to meditate each morning was one of the highlights of my entire trip. The garden has a wonderful stillness to it, particularly in the early morning, and it gave me a chance to completely disconnect and recharge.
The property also made an excellent base for exploring Madurai, and I found it very convenient to reach the various places I wanted to visit.
Overall, this was much more than simply a hotel stay for me. It was a peaceful and energizing experience, with beautiful traditional surroundings, wonderful food and spa treatments, and—most importantly—people who made us feel genuinely cared for. I would definitely return.

It was Good
Had to dine in lunch and had a great experience with their "Madurai Kari Virundhu". Ample space around the dining place for casual walk post meal and you would not be disappointed if you come with kids either
