Safety hazard and Gross Hospitality Error
I am appalled by the level of incompetence and gross negligence we experienced during our stay at Krishna Valley Resort, Vrindavan, in Room 1002.
We are two women, staying at your property, and were met with shocking service and dangerous conditions. Upon returning to the room at 10 pm, we discovered there was no geyser in the bathroom, and we had to call reception just to have it turned on from the terrace. This is completely unacceptable. No guest should have to depend on staff to operate basic amenities like hot water.
When the geyser was finally activated, I was subjected to scalding, boiling hot water pouring from both the ceiling shower and the tap—regardless of any attempts to adjust the temperature. After struggling for 20 minutes, with the water remaining dangerously hot, I was forced to step out mid-shower and call the reception. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the staff initiall tried explaining the basic function of the hot and cold settings—something completely irrelevant in the face of a malfunctioning system that could easily cause burns.
When I insisted they check for themselves, they confirmed the issue, but by then it was already 11:20 pm. Worse still, no responsible staff member or manager was available to speak with. Instead, we were met with a newly joined, inexperienced receptionist who suggested we change rooms at that late hour. When we asked for a proper inspection of the other room, we were sent an even more junior employee, who merely reiterated the suggestion to move rooms, without offering any real solution or accountability.
This is completely unacceptable and raises serious questions:
• Who is running this hotel?
• Is there no qualified person responsible for guest safety and service?
• How can you operate a facility where the basic act of taking a shower becomes a health hazard?
• Why are two women being forced to pack up and move rooms at 11 pm, due to your staff’s incompetence?
On top of this, the air conditioning didn’t cool the room, and the TV wasn’t even recharged. Is this the standard of service you claim to offer?
I demand an immediate explanation as to how this situation was allowed to occur and what corrective measures you plan to implement. This was not just a matter of inconvenience—it was a dangerous and unprofessional failure of basic guest service. We expect a prompt response and action.
Sincerely,
Room 1002, Krishna Valley Resort
