A cozy stat at Nalagarh Fort

Amazing heritage property with very warm hospitality with great staying experience. The suit we stayed was named as Durga. The property is a huge one spreading over more than 100 acres. Food was really yummy. The best part of the stay was the humble behavior of all the staffs...they all are serving than more than 15yrs...and everyone is doing their Duties with such humble and polite attitude. Will recommend this place to visit for an amazingung stay away from city hustle bustle.

Old heritage peaceful property but not for people looking for luxury and professionalism

If you want luxury then this property is not for you. Old heritage building, peaceful with a lot of greenery. Neat and clean. V nice buffet breakfast but the manager a little fussy when asked to show around the property. Rooms are not exactly like what is shown in pictures. Not bad in this price for a night or two get away from hustle bustle of towns

Fascinating

Large and evocative hotel created from the city's ancient fort, restored and repainted in white and blue. It's a whole set of spaces, stairs, courtyards and terraces that loom over the nearby town. Panoramic view of the Shivalik hills. Spectacular sunsets from the large crenelated spaces on the roofs of the fortress. Beautiful suites furnished with nineteenth-century furniture, period photos and large, fascinating common areas. Naturally the type of solution is unable to hide the small practical defects connected to old structures of this kind, the dustiness, the somewhat shabby appearance and the poor efficiency of bathrooms and equipment, but the whole is nevertheless very particular and pleasant and makes you accept even what we can define as small flaws without problems. Immense rooms, with balconies overlooking the valley, still acceptable bathrooms and king beds. AC, TV, water and tea/coffee kit, traditional ceiling fans and heaters if necessary, but no fridge and during our stay no wifi, even if declared existing. Large swimming pool available and tennis court. Restaurant with buffet dinners. Double room including breakfast from 40 to 60 € depending on seasonality. In any case, it is a very special stay that I really like for the sensations of times gone by that it manages to give.

Wonderfully experience, delightfully different

This is a wonderful place for those who want a short-time regal experience. A smooth drive from Delhi, the trek to the Fort is through very narrow lane. Once you reach, the place is pretty vast and beautiful. As we went on Diwali eve, the view of the illuminated Nalagarh town from the fort above was truly breathtaking. The rooms are of different sizes, the life size portrait of the owners in each room is slightly eerie though :). The place is not too popular i guess, so the rooms look slight unused. The maintenance could be better. The staff is very polite, food (our meals were inclusive int he package) was delicious, though menu is limited. There is a small but well-kept swimming pool too.
All good choice near Delhi for a different experience, more enjoyable of you go in a big group.
