Split Reviews Explained: Staying at Metropolis Business Hotel
Before my stay, I noticed that reviews of this hotel were highly divided, and after staying there, I understand why. There are two properties operated under the name Metropolis Business Hotel. When I first arrived at the reception on the fifth (?) floor of the first property, I was redirected to the second property, where the reception is located on the second floor.
The room in the second property was perfectly acceptable. It had one double bed and one single bed, as well as an electric kettle. The TV worked well and supported YouTube and Netflix. The room was equipped with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The bathroom was a bit small, but functional. Two water bottles were provided for the two-day stay. There was no coffee.
Overall, the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is also within walking distance of downtown Panjim, making the location quite convenient.

Nice stay with minor flaws
Stayed at this hotel in Goa and overall had a good experience. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. The ambience was pleasant and relaxing, perfect for a vacation.

Metropolis Business Hotel Panjim: Deceptive Marketing and horrendous Stay
My experience at the Metropolis Business Hotel in Panjim was profoundly disappointing, stemming primarily from the massive disconnect between the professional images advertised online and the reality of the property.
Prospective guests should be warned: the photos published do not, in any way, match the actual hotel.
The hotel's location is poor and immediately sets a negative tone. It is situated in a small, dimly lit alley within a rather shady-looking commercial building, accessed only after navigating a narrow, unclean passage.
To make matters worse, this access route appears to be perpetually under renovation, making the arrival process confusing and unpleasant.
Upon finally reaching the second floor, where the hotel is meant to be, the "reception" desk is nothing more than a makeshift setup placed in the middle of a passageway.
This entire arrangement contributes to an atmosphere that feels less like a business hotel and more like a hastily assembled budget operation.
Finally, the lack of professionalism among the staff was noticeable. Housekeeping staff were observed behaving unprofessionally in public areas, adding to the general sense of disorder and lack of care that pervades the establishment.
This hotel is poorly situated, misleadingly marketed, and fails to uphold basic standards of cleanliness and professionalism. I strongly advise finding alternative accommodation in Panjim.

Beautiful hotel in goa ❤️
One of the best properties in terms of availability, affordability, and value for money. Highly recommended for solo travelers, families, or groups of friends.
The property owner, Mr. Asrar, is incredibly humble, soft-spoken, and always ready to assist with helpful guidance. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, and the property is well-maintained. Rooms are spotless and comfortable—I stayed in the Emerald suite, which was spacious and well-equipped.
The staff are very accommodating and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. The location is ideal, with several great restaurants nearby, including an excellent snack shop. If I return to Goa, this property will undoubtedly be my first choice! Totally worth it!
