Good Experience....
Hotel S S Palace Rameswaram has given me such a wonderful and self less service, i felt i am back to my child hood, means in my parents lap. The concern care and hospitality they have rendered is too good lead by Mr Amar Shaw and team, i have no words to put, but highly recommend u to have a stay with family and experience the joy in person. Awesome and wonderful, loved it

Not worth it - dirty rooms - basics not in place
A hotel does not become grand by just adding the word grand to it. I am currently staying in this hotel. I have booked a suite room paying double the price. Here is my review:
1. As soon as you enter room, you can see you may not be able to see the tiny little specs clearly in the attached pics – I am not a professional photographer.
2. Washroom/ toilet-cum-bathroom – no towels provided; no hand soap provided; only 2 small medimix provided for 3 people to use for 2 nights 3 days. See the dirt near the door handles – u don’t feel like touching them – the bathroom doors themselves are dirty.
3. Curtains are so long that I nearly tripped on them along the bedside – I had to hang them in the window so that I don’t fall again.
4. Drawing room doesn’t have lights working effectively – see the non-functional light.
5. Tea maker – only 1 cup provided + 2 drinking water glasses – when three people were supposed to check-in where is the provision for the 3rd person? Extra cup when asked, was given but dirty
6. Wifi details not provided upon check-in – you have to ask for everything.

Average Stay
Stayed here for one night with my family of three. While the hotel looks impressive from the outside, the experience inside was disappointing. The premium room we booked was quite expensive, even considering the festive season. We were likely given a Junior Suite with two rooms and two bathrooms, but despite the space, the rooms did not feel clean or welcoming at all. Leather upholstery (Sofa) , curtains , table , cutlery , bathrooms, towels were not up to the mark. Overall cleanliness and maintenance were clearly lacking, which made the stay unpleasant—especially after paying such a high price for the room. The staff were polite and helpful, which was one of the few positives. The in-house restaurant served decent food for dinner. Autos are easily available outside for temple visits, and the hotel does offer ample car parking.
Overall, this hotel does not justify its pricing. I would only recommend it if there are no other options available and you specifically need parking and a very short stay.

Average Stay at Hotel SS Palace, Rameswaram
My stay at Hotel SS Palace in Rameswaram was fairly average. The property has potential, but several aspects of the experience fell short. The housekeeping staff did not seem well trained, as the room was not properly cleaned and basic items like coffee and tea packets, cutlery, and other essentials were not replenished during the stay. It gave the impression that attention to detail was missing.
The reception staff were also quite unfriendly and didn’t seem interested in assisting guests. Simple queries felt like an inconvenience to them, which made the overall experience less welcoming than expected.
The room itself was decent for the price, and the location is convenient, but the lack of proper housekeeping and the unprofessional attitude at the front desk made the stay less comfortable than it could have been. With better staff training and improved service, this hotel could offer a much better experience.
