Quiet and cozy place

It has a good location, around 20 minutes from the airport. It is a nice, quiet and cozy place. Our room was neat and very spacious. There is a nice well maintained lawn and garden where you can relax with a hot cup of Kehwa..The food was good (we ordered a la carte) and very reasonably priced. What we liked best was the staff, all of them were very friendly and courteous, and would like to make a special mention of Mr Firdous. They were especially concerned about the room amenities and food and ready to oblige with a solution for everything. We stayed for 4 nights (we kept Srinagar as the base and after local sighseeing, we did day trips to Sonmarg and Dudhpathri) and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel..

Cool, green and nice place

Stayed in hotel for four nights. Approachable, not far off from airport. Hotel is clean and has a huge lawn. Very close to Jhelum river. One can enjoy the beauty of Jhelum in the early morning or in the evening.

An old charm Hotel

Excellent stay at Hotel Meridain. Though an old property, all functional well. Very courteous staff and very attentive too. Good lawn infornt of the Hotel makes a good space for relaxing, walk and even for specialized parties if one needs to organize.
Rooms were equipped with heaters and beds also had pad heaters. Food is mostly room served and maintained very good quality, especially Kashmir specialities.

Kashmiri hospitality at its best!

I found the hotel very comfortable - the staff and waiters were exceedingly nice and caring - Kashmiri hospitality at its best! Room service was unbelievably prompt! A lovely garden with lots of flowers and birds hopping around as you sit in the sun!

Not Value for money

The service quality was pretty decent but again all the staff will look for tip. They don't have a proper travel desk instead they arrange for Taxi, The Taxi drivers which they arrange will not help you to visit places instead they asked you not to talk in the tourist areas, i found this awkward. in my four night visit i faced water problem in the morning for two days. I suggest to look for other hotels for this price tag....
