Give it a miss

The location is the only plus point. Service is poor for the price of the stay. Rooms are decent in size but abysmal in facilities. No coffee, tea sachets, no hot water kettle, no toiletries in the bathroom. Room service insists on spot payment ! Restaurant service is poor. All in all, avoid your stay here if you can. I am sure Udupi offers better lodgings.

Worst stay

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life with regard to the overall management of the Hotel. This hotel is placed very well in the heart of the city and has decent rooms. The problem starts when you book the hotel rooms from online aggregators like MMT or Cleartrip. The check in time as mentioned is 1 PM and it is a very inconvenient time for most of us. I requested the hotel to let me in by 12.30 and they said no and asked for Rs.600 for allowing me for checking in half an hour early. I visited near by places and later checked in at 3.30 PM.
The bed and linen is very dirty. The pillow is very thin, I asked for an extra pillow and they told me to cough up Rs.30 towards extra pillow. We were 3 of us and 1 water bottle of 1 ltr was provided.
We ordered room service and went to sleep by 10PM. At 11.30 PM someone rang the bell and when I answered, the waiter was standing asking if I want anything else to eat. I told I had enough and was sleeping. He told me to clear the bills immediately and made me clear the room service bill at the middle of the night. I told them we are a family and won’t run away without paying you.
This is one of the worst experiences of my life where the management of the hotel has so much of trust deficit.
If you are staying here, remember to carry your own toiletries and towels. The towels are very old and stink.
Overall worst experience. Stay at your risk.

temple visit

Room is small, just manageable for twin sharing. ameneties are all at extra cost including mineral water , considering the hotel charge is not modest. however location is good and Woodlands restaurant is very close and good food there.

Hotel keen on making money at the cost of poor service

The hotel is dependent on solar energy to provide hot water in all rooms, having 3 old people in the troup and a young child made our stay in the hotel totally unpleasant as an experience... especially since we are travelling during the monsoons. Please also note that their stay duration is for 24 hours after one checks in, and we weren't informed about this upfront by the desk and it ended with the hotel charging us for 3 complete days even whilst we were staying in the hotel for less than 54 hours. The staff did not tell this to us whilst collecting the advance or during the time of check in. We are totally disappointed with their insensitivity and amazed with their intent to make money at the behest of poor service. The best part, if you talk to the lady at the front desk you'll really know what it is to talk to a robot without AI !!!
