Wonderful Experience

We stayed at Emerald Tigers with 4 friends for 4 nights. It has an excellent and unique location inside the park itself. Vivek and Rekha and their staff are wondergul and knowledgeable hosts who looked after us superbly. The lodge was very comfortable, the rooms spacious. The food was excellent especially in relation to special diets such as gluten free. We went on 5 safaris over our stay and had multiple wildlife sighting including the elusive tiger.

Incredible wildlife and amazing hospitality

Vivek and his charmingly delightful wife Rekha generously welcomed us with their hospitality, their knowledge, their humor and their friendship. What a wonderful opportunity for us to experience the incredible wildlife at Bandhavgarh and gain greater understanding and insight into the Indian culture and people.
We were so fortunate to be in the company of Vivek Sharma, the operator of Emerald Tiger Retreat and a renowned naturalist who is intimately familiar with the behavior and patterns of wildlife in Bandhavgarh National Park. Vivek’s knowledge and our unique location within the buffer zone of the park meant that we were often able to view wildlife without jockeying for position with 15 other jeeps! We saw at least 8 tigers, 11 elephants, 8 gaur, a cobra, 3 varieties of deer, wild boar, mongoose, wild civet cat and heaps of birds!
The accommodation is very comfortable and the food is plentiful and delicious. The pool is welcome after a hot & dusty safari excursion.
If you want an authentic experience viewing wildlife and experiencing local culture, Emerald Tiger Retreat is for you

Adventurous and exciting family holiday

We stayed four nights at Emerald tiger retreat. The place was unforgettable in terms of the location right in the buffer zone of the sanctuary, the hospitality and ambience. The management Rekha and Vivek Sharma who are the owners of the property alongwith their son Viv did everything to make our stay comfortable and exciting, from organizing the safaris to the evening bonfires . The personal touch made our holiday much more memorable and fun . And YES we did see tigers, besides a leopard, sloth bear, lots of birds, deer, monkeys etc.
Definitely a must visit resort, hope to be back soon.
