The Perfect Place to Disconnect and Reconnect
Our yoga retreat was held at The Sweven NeerVan, and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better place for it.
If you’re looking to escape the constant pace, noise, and pressure of city life, this is exactly where you should come. Waking up to breathtaking views over the Ganges, and falling asleep to the sounds of the forest and the mountains, is something truly special. It’s incredibly peaceful and restorative.
What impressed me the most was the people who work here. They are genuinely kind, attentive, and always happy to help. They will gladly prepare meals according to your preferences, as long as you understand you’re in a remote mountain retreat and work with what’s locally available. That balance between flexibility and realism made everything feel very authentic.
The rooms were simple but spotlessly clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay.
Some of my favourite memories were our evenings together around the bonfire. We sang, danced, laughed, and even shouted into the mountains, leaving behind the stress, pain, and exhaustion we had carried with us from everyday life. It was unexpectedly emotional and incredibly liberating.
Looking back, choosing The Sweven NeerVan was one of the best decisions our retreat organiser could have made. Not once did we regret it. If your goal is to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the beauty of the Himalayas, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place.
