Pathetic stay as the food variety is limited, staff is not trained, property premises is not maintained at all and dirty
Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing property of our tour and fell significantly short of expectations.
Some of the key issues observed during our stay were:
- Spider webs were visible throughout the property, including the reception area, creating an impression of poor upkeep.
- The outdoor activity area was dirty, neglected, and appeared unusable due to lack of maintenance.
- The indoor activity area also seemed unattended for a long time, with dirt accumulated along floor edges and spider webs present in multiple locations.
- The food spread was repetitive, with nearly identical menus served on both days of our stay. Dessert options were not displayed as part of the buffet and were only provided upon request. Even then, the only option available on both days was vanilla ice cream.
- The television in our room was non-functional upon arrival. Despite raising the issue, it took more than two hours and escalation to the hotel manager before the problem was resolved.
- Given the property's positioning as a resort and spa, the overall maintenance, cleanliness, recreational facilities, and dining experience were far below expectations.
Overall: The property has potential, but it urgently requires better maintenance, housekeeping standards, facility management, and improvement in guest services.

Pathetic Experience - Definitely Not Recommended
We had booked 2 rooms at Ayara Coorg between 30th Apr'26 - 3rd May'26 and it was definitely not a pleasant experience, room - 220 and 233.
1. No towels when we checked in.
2. No soap in the bathroom dispensers.
3. Bathrooms weren't cleaned as well.
4. In spite of repeated calls the TVs weren't working...no channels as Tata Sky wasn't recharged, I travelled with my son who had no source of entertainment inside the room.
5. The outdoor activity area wasn't maintained at all, the thorny bushes aren't cleared up which is so dangerous especially in an area accessible by kids.
6. Even the swimming pool is dirty with no cleaning being done.
7. We had buffet dinner only 1 night as the food isn't great as well with the buffet spread being very limited. We had keep checking with the staff for them to refill dishes which were over.
8. Out of 3 days we were here, 2 days had same breakfast menu.
9. The fan inside the room was making a lot of noise.
10. Attaching photos of the condition inside the room with nails popping out which ended up hurting us as well.
11. The plates during breakfast were dirty and not washed properly.
Looking at the photos we were all really looking forward to a great holiday with beautiful experience but it was a total disaster.
