Wonderful

An absolute highlight in Canggu – just heavenly!
We stayed at the Amar Boutique Hotel and are absolutely thrilled! Everything was just perfect from the moment we arrived to the farewell.
Breakfast is really the best we have ever had in Bali (and perhaps at all) – fresh, healthy, lovingly served and incredibly delicious. Every day began with a little culinary highlight!
The owners, Filipa and Joao, are two exceptionally warm people – so attentive, generous and helpful that you immediately feel at home. They take care of every detail and create an atmosphere that you rarely find.
The rooms and the whole hotel are a dream: beautifully designed, full of loving details, extremely clean and stylish. You can feel that every element here has been chosen with a heart and is regularly maintained. The garden and pool area are a small haven of peace – perfect for relaxing and simply enjoying.
We felt completely comfortable and welcome at Amar. It was really one of those places you hate to leave – and definitely one you want to go back to.
Thank you very much, dear Filipa and dear João - you have created a very special place.
Those who stay in Canggu should definitely not miss this treasure!

A must stay in canggu!

Totally fantastic place - close to everything within 10 minutes of walking legs. We had a baby with on 7 months which fits perfectly to the place here too. Quiet people, all through fantastic staff who were on all the time. The owners were here too and were very helpful with everything we asked about - they also make, the best cakes! Breakfast is super nice and tastes good. Clean place and delicious pool area. The rooms are also delicious. 5/5 in canggu!

Amazing Amar

Amar is amazing!! Filipa and João - the owners - made it a paradise. The rooms are stylish, calm and quiet. Around the pool they created an oase. The staff is so kind to, they come by to offer you a coconut or something other yummy. They are always kind and helping. And OMG the food! It’s so good. AMAR has this breakfast that you must try!! It’s with multiple options with organic fruits, yogurts, different homemade breads and eggs. There is even dessert: a delicious homemade and organic choco or coconut cake. Filipa is so sweet. She comes by to see how you do and gives great advice if you want to know what you can do in the area. They have many nice tips about food and travel. They now how to make you feel good and happy!

Perfect!

We stayed here on our first visit to Canggu after 4 stays in Seminyak. Loved the area, more relaxed and cool than Seminyak, a short walk to the beach, and so many amazing cafes and Restaurants an easy walk away, as well as convenience stores.
Filipa is an amazing, warm, friendly host. Chats to everyone like a good friend, with so many local tips! Before we arrived, we had already been sent lots of fab restaurant recommendations!
Room was lovely and stylish!
Pool is lovely, set in a oasis of calm and lush vegetation.
All the staff are so lovely, kind and friendly.
A special mention to Tia who was so kind, went the extra mile and friendly, and Tya in house-keeping, who was so sweet and friendly.
Breakfasts were wonderful!
Totally recommend!
Hope we can return again!

A VERY SPECIAL HOTEL. YOU'LL FEEL AT HOME.

When I was organizing our 25-day trip to Bali I left for the end Canggu, a city with many charms. And one of them is the wonderful Hotel Amar, in which Filipa, the owner, knows how to make you feel at home. Ever since you came in with your bags, you know it's gotten to a very special place. We were greeted by Filipa herself. They started the adventure of opening this hotel a few years ago and have managed to rank among the best in Canggu. She is Portuguese and speaks Spanish perfectly. We talked about our trip to Bali and advised us to meet in the city. From the hotel we were made the reservation to dine and enjoy the sunset at La Brisa beach club. Thank you for giving us that magical and special experience.
The hotel is very small, only 10 rooms. With a flirty and relaxing pool. The decor of the whole hotel is beautiful. The furniture, lamps, ceilings, floors... of the common areas combine in perfect harmony and manage to immerse you in an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms are spacious and very bright. The bed is very large and very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and semi-open. Very nice and nice. It is very well located within walking distance of the beach and all the city attractions.
But most important of all is the staff. Always ready to help you, make you happy and feel at home. Breakfast is simply wonderful. I recommend you try the chocolate cake they make themselves. When you take the first bite, remember I recommended it. If you are following me and appreciate my advice do not hesitate this is your hotel in Canggu.
