Healing

The location of Villa is amazing.
It has a calm atmosphere and the staff are extremely kind and friendly.
Breakfast is all very good and appreciated! I've never tasted such delicious pisang olene!
Spa facilities are quite tasteful!
The massage was also healed!
I'm coming again.

Amazing stay at Villa Borobudur! It’s located on a hill side and has breathtaking views down to the valley. I stayed at the junior suite and was very happy with my choice. The junior suites are located on the same level as the main swimming pool. The other suites and villas are higher up on the hill. The staff is amazing and so attentative! I had the best foot massage at the spa. Do note that the hotel is located on a extremely steep hill and there are several stairs you need to climb to get around the property. So that is something to consider if you have mobility issues.

A Beautiful High Quality Hotel at Borobudur

Amazing facility with villas built into the mountainside above Borobudur. Service staff is super intuitive and attentive and provide a peaceful and efficient level of service. The van pick up and drop off service is so helpful and makes popping down into the village for a meal or visiting the temple super easy. I highly recommend and the value is very good!

Ahhhhhhhh

We two couples were perched on the side of a jungle covered cliff overlooking small villages in the valley, Borobudur Temple in the distance and a series of volcanoes from The ring of Fire beyond that. Wow! Get up at sunrise and enjoy the view, it is worth it!
There were some calls to prayer throughout the day, but we thought it added to the authenticity.
Villa Kayangan, a two bedroom, two bathroom, outdoor living room was amazing. Intricately carved wood was everywhere. So were critters.....it was in the jungle after all. Monkeys laughed at us from the trees, a frog kept us company while we played cards on our living room terrace, a civet cat snuck around at night and all manner of interesting (harmless) insects made appearances. The rooms were well kept and maintained so no worries!
Our private pool was fantastic. The silky water was a perfect temperature... and more of those views. There was also a main pool on the property that is bigger. It had a small but nice food and drink menu. From our villa, it was best to call for a ride to the main pool or to the restaurant. It was VERY steep.
The restaurant offered delicious food and friendly staff. We had breakfasts and some lunches brought up to our terrace but ate our dinners in one of the two beautifully decorated rooms overlooking the valley and the volcanoes. We enjoyed all the Indonesian dishes we tried.
A number of excursions can be made with the hotel's drivers. We enjoyed several of them. The front office staff were very helpful arranging these for us. Borobudur Temple at sunrise was excellent.
All the staff were friendly and kind from booking to checking out. We were very well treated. If you are looking for something special and relaxing, this is a lovely choice.

Exceptional hotel. Discreet luxury on a human scale. Rooms scattered on a green hillside. A magnificent view.

Take this hotel and travel from this location to Prambanan (1.5 hours by taxi)
Much quieter and more charming than Yogyakarta
