Ariras hotel Bali

Candi Dasa in Bali, atmosphere was relaxing and the room very clean and comfortable. Quiet location only noise which wasn’t too bad was from beach reconstruction. Service is excellent , not much to do if you want lively bars but they’re a short drive but taxis very good value.

Superb

A truly excellent experience. The property is lovely. The room was very comfortable and clean and attractive. Great A/C, mini fridge. The staff were extraordinary. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent range of food snd beverage. At present, the “beach” immediately in front of the property (as well as the entire immediate vicinity) is undergoing major reconstruction so the guest cannot simply wander down to a nice beach. The alternatives are: hotel pool which is very nice, or free shuttle to an intact beach. The hotel can arrange a variety of activities. I chose the snorkeling trip which was well worth the cost and effort

Attentive staff, but a very mixed overall experience

We spent 3 days at this hotel. While the staff is impeccable, very attentive (perhaps even a little too much, with several visits per day to the room to tidy up and a daily change of sheets and towels) and the cleanliness is exemplary, several points spoil the stay:
Pool and exterior: The pool looks very pleasant, but we saw a large rat walking on the inner ledge, which completely killed our desire to swim. Furthermore, the beach right in front is under construction with excavators, which makes it difficult to enjoy the ocean even though you are at the water's edge. Waking up also spoiled by strong smells of burning trash in the surroundings.
Room and comfort: The room is not very functional and has no view of the ocean. It forces you to stay inside with the air conditioning because of the mosquitoes (no mosquito net to sleep with the window open) and the outside noise, while also enduring the noise of the neighbor's AC unit.
Services and Restaurant: The hotel offers nice activities (cooking classes, massages, yoga). As for the restaurant (Sarira), the menu is geared toward a Western clientele with high prices (lobster, fish) and sorely lacks authenticity and local dishes.
An establishment that has potential thanks to its team, but which offers disappointing value for money and experience for the region.
