Amazing balinese homestay, cheap, clean and very friendly.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days and we couldn´t be happier. We weren´t expecting much since it was so cheap but it was so much more. The room was very clean and nice! Breakfast was delicious in the mornings, we got to pick from eggs or pancake and with that came coffee or tea and fruits. So good! But the best part was that it was a homestay so you also get to see the local way of living and kind of participate in their lifestyle. They pointed us to local spots and also explained all kinds of different things like how they live, about their holidays and their festivities. It was all in such beautiful 10 days. The owners are the friendliest people ever. They also give you an option to rent scooter with them for cheap, which we did! And even after we left their place they continued to rent us the scooter which I really appreciated.
I highly recommend Pondok Bali!
I also loved that it was up on a hill, so you are kind of in the jungle away from all the chaos in Ubud. Loved it and would definitely come back ! <3

Totally overrated

If you like to sleep like a Banana *
And wake up with the words „ Now it’s time for the Onion ... „ **
And in between be eaten by mosquitoes...
***
Then by all means go ahead and book this room ..
* bed is extremely soft
** the owner holding cooking class next room...
*** the room has Ventilation above window
That can’t be closed and give full access to mosquitoes
The bed was so extremely soft ( cheap mattress) we decided to sleep on the floor....
To be fair....
The room has very good view that is why I don’t rate it as poor.

Perfect for backpackers

Very friendly homestay situated 10 minute drive from the centre of Ubud. Great wifi, very tasty breakfast and situated right beside picturesque rice fields. Rooms were very clean and people were exceptionally friendly. The hosts were also extremely helpful and accommodating in times of need. This place is perfect for backpackers and is great for quickly escaping the bustle of Ubud and immersing yourself in the culture of a small Bali village. Highly recommend walking out to the rice fields at sunrise for amazing views!

Home stay

It was very nice. Take notice that you go into a family's yard. They are very nice and they are cooking. It is a family business.
It's not the cleanest place, it doesn't have shampoo/soap/shower gel but they are very eager to help you and find a solution to every problem. They also rent scooters at a very cheap price.
If you want a cheap place to stay and to experience the balinese culture, I recommend it

Wonderfull and very clean place with good wifi

The host is realy helpful, provides all information you need. Also you can rent scooter from him, it is conveniente. The area is not so crovded with trafic, but really good place to stay and with scooter visit everything around.
