Incredible view

Gladak di Uma has perhaps one of the best views in all of Bali. From your accommodation you look out over the rice fields in the valley, with the majestic Gunung Agung in the background. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is fine. Not exceptional but fine, depending on who prepares it.
Keep in mind that the enclosures are open so there will be bugs in the enclosure: ants, mosquitoes, sometimes a dragonfly.
Sidemen is quiet compared to more tourist spots, unfortunately you can hear the motor scooters in and along the valley quite well.
But if you take those minor inconveniences for granted then Gladak di Uma is a very nice stay.

Amazing villa in Sidemen, Bali. You need an experience like this in your lifetime! One to remember!

From start to finish, a very welcoming and brilliant experience of what it’s like to stay in Sidemen, Bali. Nothing was too much for the team at Gladak! Wayan was a GREAT host. A natural with my son and went above and beyond! Kadek was brilliant too. We were travelling with a 1 year old and we were VERY well-taken care of. Where do I start… Welcome drinks and taken to our beautiful villa (Bambu House) and shown throughly what each button in the room does and where everything was. Our 1st years Wedding anniversary had just gone so there was a nice bed display too. Without rambling on, the place is special. If you don’t like nature, this isn’t for you. I’ll let the media I’ve uploaded do all the talking. I’m very picky with the properties I book so I’ll say, Don’t hesitate, just book. Thank me later ; )

Family 2 bedroom disappointing

The staff are wonderful here, but our accommodation was somewhat disappointing. I was attracted to the place by the pics of the deluxe room but as our group was too big we booked the family 2 bedroom accommodation. I assumed this meant a bungalow with 2 rooms however the rooms were separate from each other. One was a wooden cottage with an outdoor bathroom, but the other was a room in a tower that was not air conditioned and basically falling apart. The bathroom not in any promotional pictures was old, small with a door that did not unlock easily. The doors out to the net were hard to open a fan for cooling. I did look at the empty deluxe on departure and it was gorgeous. The accommodation we had needs major work done on it. Small plunge pool was pleasant as was breakfast.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow, but it’s actually two separate buildings. The room shown in pictures with net to sit on, is old and the bathroom is not featured in promotional pictures for a reason. Staff were excellent and I did get to see the room that is featured in pictures and it is truly stunning.
