I felt home at Bajo Sunset hotel.
You could see no one but at need there's always someone to call and to count on.
I even got the bike lent by one of the guy working there!

This is an absolute budget hotel and therefore one shouldn't expect it to be a 5-star experience. Room, amenities etc were basic but I expected the room to look like the one pictured on the website; it wasn't. It did have a decent restaurant onsite and the included breakfast was plain but okay. I had dinner one night and it was quite delicious. Internet connection was stable enough but I also had mobile connection so I didn't notice issues with connectivity. Staff was friendly. The view of the bay from the restaurant was fantastic. The smell from the fish market nearby wasn't too bad for me. Shopping and restaurants are a little distant but easily walkable.

The pictures are deceiving. I had initially booked this place because it was buget friendly and had a pool. I specifically was looking for a pool which it advertises it does
Once i arrived, i relaized the pool was drained out and likely out of commission for a while.
The staff were pleasant. She took us to our room which had a plywood floor and bugs climbing everywhere. It was dark and smelled of mold.
The pleasant staff saw my face and asked if i wished for a different room. I stated yes please. The next room had less bugs but was also very dark during the day with the lights on and had black mold on the white bed sheets.
I did not stay and immediately left. I personally feel this was a scam. I have stayed throughout asia for the past few months and felt most deceived by this location.
I have reached out for some form of compensation and was told to speak to expedia not them whichhas gotten me no where.
I strongly do not recommend

staff were good, very friendly but the noise from another bar was very loud, not good, they did change my room and that helped
