Villa Sand my stay in the rice fields

I was delighted and charmed by this place. The individual bungalow in the rice fields. I enjoyed the quality of the bed. Suggestion however on the restaurant menu which should be more elaborate. If not personal at the top, I really liked this place.

Unfortunately the view does not do everything

We booked 2 bungalows for 2 nights at the Villa Sande. Apart from the nice view the value for money is very poor (compared to other addresses in Bali). The photos presented by the hotel must be dated, the bungalows of good sizes are relatively dark, old, dusty, the day passes through the parquet and what about the bathroom that deserves a complete renovation and a little modernity. The door between the bedroom and the bathroom was supposed to be covered with opaque film, but over time there is only an unsightly tape and no more opacity which was very embarrassing in the room of our 19 and 15 year old sons attached to their privacy. The staff is quite distant and unprofessional. The restaurant offers fairly basic local dishes. The 2 pools are unusable because the water is cool. And to finish the 2 mornings we were awakened at 06:45!!!! Employees talking loud and clear and the work (creation of a Spa it seems) that made us jump out of bed not to mention the slamming of huge whips in the fields to keep the birds away. We are used to traveling and there we felt a real disappointment always taking into account the price quality ratio.

Superb view!!!

Great view whether from the room or the pool. Very cozy room.
Too bad there is no fridge but presence of a water fountain that was very convenient!!
A second swimming pool is also accessible is top. Just a shame that the deckchairs were not comfortable at all...
Service was very average. Breakfast: take extras because what is included is really too little... Extras are however not expensive at all!!
We spent 2 nights there just for rest, visit Munduk Forest and enjoy this life: that was what it took!

Cute people and beautiful location

Villa Sande is very beautifully located in the middle of the rice fields. It's authentic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A really lovely stay.

Be aware of cheating personel and spoiled food

Pictures show beautifully situated hotel but in reality you can get a room right behind the kitchen by the workers' cottage who make noise from 6 am. The tofu we got in gado gado was fermented and at the end of our stay we got a bill with amounts for items we didn't have during dinner. When we mentioned about tofu they did not agree and requested us to pay. Beer costs 85,000. In the most expensive restaurants we paid 55,000 for a large beer. Very unpleasant experience overall. Bathroom: mold on the ceiling, bald bulb without a lampshade with cold light. Bedding stinking of chemicals. Be aware!
