Nero North has everything you'd expect from a hotel on Gili Island. In my opinion you can't expect a 5 star hotel experience on Gili, which is part of the charm, but Nero North is easily the best hotel I've stayed at on Gili over the years.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Big, good looking rooms with plenty of style. Nice pool and a fantastic beach packed with turtles in the morning, right in front of the hotel.
So definitely 4 stars.
The staff are SUPER sweet and helpful.
What pulled it down a bit was that there wasn't really any hot water in the showers when you wanted to shower in the room. Breakfast was pretty poor and limited, and it took them half an hour to serve it. The food at the hotel wasn't great either. On top of that, a regular cup of coffee cost 67,000 IDR, which is pretty steep for an ordinary coffee.
But a lot of other good things about this hotel.

We loved everything about the hotel. The beach front location is ideal and we got to see so many turtles just snorkelling metres away from where we had breakfast on the beach. The food is wonderful, expertly cooked every time. The service was second to none. We were so well looked after by the amazing team who are friendly and professional. A special shout out goes to Zean, Jas, Amir and Deddy! Thank you all for the amazing hospitality. We will be back!

Excellent hotel, with fantastically friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel only has a small amount of rooms compared to others, so the atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful.
Rooms are spacious and clean.
Within walking distance to plenty of lovely restaurants if you want to ventrue out.

Amazing place to stay on Gili T, wish we could have stayed longer. Room (family room) was great for us and 2 teenagers (kids had separate room/bed + bathroom). Staff are really friendly and attentive. Will be staying again if we come back to Gili T.
