Nice Place

In the last few yearswevclways called in to the White Sands for food. This year was no different and once again we all ate well. Absolutely delicious fresh Atlantic Cod with chips, 3 out of the 4 us ordered and enjoyed this, the other went for bangers and mash.
The prices are pretty high in fairness, but you get what you pay for I suppose. The Guinness was excellent.
Lovely atmosphere, very prompt and friendly service and right on the main street.
Plenty of parking if you drive down the strand and around the back.

Didn't experience what I needed

Walls to corridor are paper thin leading to very little sleep...rooms are clean but seriously need updating, curtains are see through. No milk in tea making facility in room. Shampoo but no shower gel. In my opinion very overpriced for a 3 star hotel. Got a table in bar to eat dinner..right beside the gents toilets...why would anyone put a table there?? Food and drinks are very over priced.

Whitesands time to give up the ghost

I can get past the decor which is quaint at best however the water quality which left an uncomfortable residue on my hands. The shower offered intermittent scalding and ice experience. No sound proofing so every person traipsing past sounded like they were in the room with me. As for their food recommendations! the bar downstairs Jimmy Browns offered the most unpalatable meal that sticks in the throat… dreadful. Overly priced and NO HOLIDAY SEASON does NOT make it any more acceptable.

Old-style hotel.

Hotel located near the beach. It shows its age. Small rooms
Excellent and abundant breakfast, large parking available.
If you want a modern hotel, look elsewhere.

A charming old-fashioned hotel

An old-fashioned hotel full of charm and personality. The hotel is located just a few minutes from a lovely sandy beach. Adjacent to the hotel is also a nice pub. This was without a doubt the best hotel on our trip to Ireland. If you want a hotel with charm and personality, this is where you should stay.
