Perfect place for families or as a couple.
Wonderfully Charming hotel. Very clean & comfortable large rooms for an old hotel. Bathroom was tight but nice hot water for showers. We were on a family generational trip with 11 of us total. 3 were kids 11-8 years old. Our floor had seating areas in hallway but more special was a common gathering area for everyone to use. In the evening we were able to all sit together for a visit & plan our next day while playing a game we had bought for the kids. Ian, the owner came to check on us to see if we needed anything & answered any questions we had regarding Blarney Castle, the hotel & other ideas for places of interest. Picking out books he had on subjects we asked about. He has a nice little library in the room of all that’s Ireland. Maps, books & magazines. We had dinner in their pub. Smoked salmon & lasagna. Delicious. Breakfast too! Which is must have! Fluffy Pancakes, porridge with fresh fruit & bacon. Don’t forget to eat a scone! They make a True Irish Soda bread scone (like our grandmother made & passed down the recipe that we still make for gatherings). I was partial to the one with raisins/currents. That’s how we make it. Every one of the staff was very helpful ,kind, welcoming and seemed to anticipate our needs. We would definitely return! Great place for families or couples. Hotel is right across from the entrance to Blarney Castle & less than 4 min walk to the Blarney Woolen Mills & a free car park.

Enjoyable Stay
Had a reason to stay recently for work and was very pleased with the service attention and accommodation. On arrival Saoirse was polite and helpful,the staff In the bar where I ate equally as professional. Anna at breakfast was a pleasant person with a helpful manner in short she could not do enough for you.
The attention by the owner giving at breakfast the banter about hurling was the icing on the cake.
As a person who has cause to spend a lot of time in hotels on a monthly basis this is the best by far for hospitality service and dining.Its obvious time has been taken to train and coach the team on how to treat the customer,something that is absent in a lot of places these days where there is a lacking of social engagement.
Professional staff, a warm welcome and good staff engagement with customers is the hallmark of an enjoyable stay at the Blarney Castle hotel.
Take a bow you are doing all the right things it's the small things that make a difference it made me want to shout out I Love Cork.
It's my intention to return again

The worst experience I have had in my entire life. The owner verbally abused me in front of his staff for no reason at all but to go on a power trip. Will not be going there again. In my experience it was a zero out of five. Not a one

AWESOME HOTEL
AWESOME HOTEL!!!!
The staff was awesome, we came in late. But there was someone there to welcome us and show us to our room.
Breakfast was great also, also IAN who is one of the owners was helping serve breakfast, super nice guy and awesome to see him serving like that. You can tell he and his wife truly love the place and want you to feel welcomed.
Room was great, bed was comfortable, super clean.
One minute walk to Blarney Castle and Gardens.
Had a pub, we didn't go there, but the atmosphere there looked awesome that night.
